I’m very aware we’ve posted a lot of Max (now yr11) recently BUT..... his journey is so exciting, and you just can’t ignore the talent and how prolific he is - he’s 15!!!!!! 🚀 so excited to complete this portfolio #SummerWork#arted#MoreArtNotLess#HopeWeDontHaveToCAGThis!
@ArtDesignCHS@AnneQuinton Set theme for this work was urban decay, so that gave him a lot of free rein with the graffiti. He loves portraiture, so the David statue in state of decay was a good way of getting a portrait in. 😊
@ArtDesignCHS@AnneQuinton Really glad you like it Anne. Max has always been very inspired by Prince, he composes too and his art and music seem to feed off each other! Any chance to get a Prince reference in and he is all over it!
This week as we return to work mode preparing for A Level Results day, GCSE results and making the department Covid Safe it’s been great to provide yr 10 student Max with some feedback. The journey he is on is incredibly exciting and he is always eager to explore #MoreArtNotLess
@ArtDesignCHS@pichiavo I love it too, it's a really special piece. He's got loads of ideas brewing so can't wait to see what else he produces over the summer.
Can't believe it's the end of the school year. We've missed everyone at @CheadleHulmeSch but looking forward to seeing you after the summer. In the meantime, here's a selection of Max's lockdown paintings, and plenty more creativity planned over the holidays. @ArtDesignCHS
"I got the inspiration from a BBC news item about an illegal rave that destroyed a derelict warehouse in central London."
