5 million humanoid robots working 24/7 can build Manhattan in ~6 months. now just imagine what the world looks like when we have 10 billion of them by 2045. now imagine the year 2100.
The World Cup begins tomorrow, and many will watch the matches. Soccer reminds us of something we must not forget: life is not a race to show off on our own, but a path we learn to walk together. Anyone who does not know how to pass the ball, even if they have talent, has not yet understood the game. Anyone who does not know how to live with and for others has not yet understood life. #ApostolicJourney
just so you guys are noticing this; they will pull the ladder from above you as soon as they can. their intentions are to disempower you as much as they reasonably can. the only reason they have given you anything at all is because openai has forced them to
I think simulating sub universes will happen sooner than basically anyone else does. bc it’s leveraging our awareness we don’t need to invent a lot, just shape experience, attach to a simulator, we could build the latter today. one big hop away imo, could be sub 5yrs
I think writing sticks with you in a way video does not. People can remember a tweet from years and years ago. But with videos, it just comes and goes.
When you play a video game, especially an old one, you assume that every artifact you encounter and every scene you occupy are intentionally made and thus contain nothing but signal. You must live your life with this same assumption. Failure to do so results in the mundanification and engrayment of what otherwise could be enchanting and educational.
Treating every moment as though it were a lesson and every encounter as though it were a message primes your psyche to enter into a near permanent state of annealing. It channels into an ancient present-tense attitude that signals to your entire system that you are *here* and *now* and ready for whatever encounters may bolster your ability to engage in self-becoming. If every moment is not some signal towards self-actualization, and this must include boring moments and moments of rest too, then you are giving up precious momentum with you could otherwise snowball into a great story of becoming. Everything starts with now. Pay attention!

An affliction of the times: Rushing
What a bogus way to live. Rushing out of bed to the coffee machine to the desk. Rushing to finish one book so you can read another on your list. Rushing to finish the month so you can get to the holiday.
How aweful. Living for the peaks and ignoring everything inbetween. Slowwwwww down you baboon. Enjoy today. Enjoy now. Breeeathe you fool.
Enjoy the joe. Enjoy your dinner. Enjoy the security you have. Enjoy the round of golf youre playing. Enjoy the book youre into. Why does it always have to be next next next next. Chill out. Its right in front of you.
Starting June 1, we’re doing things better at Steak n Shake — all our beef will come straight from pasture-raised cattle. This beef will be 100% grass-fed and grass-finished, making us the only American burger joint serving the healthiest kind of beef.
Would extend this to “You are aggressively socialized to read a rejection as being about you and attributes within your control. When you actually operate a selection process, 90% of thoughts will not be about the candidate. Few people reconcile this.”
Kanye West said this in 2022 on @lexfridman:
Lex: "What do you hope your legacy is?"
Ye: "To be forgotten. There's ego in memory. Who designed the sidewalk? Who designed the water fountain? Who designed the stop sign? Who designed the stop light? These things are so ubiquitous that the person that designed them is forgotten. If it's a good idea, it's a God idea."
