YA TENEMOS desde 1985 la ley de semillas 18.455 que obliga a certificar solo si vendes “como semilla” El problema es que ahora quieren regular el auto consumo y el intercambio.

¿En qué consiste?

1. REGISTRO OBLIGATORIO: Solo podrás usar, vender o intercambiar semillas "certificadas" por el SAG.
2. FISCALIZACIÓN Y MULTAS: Si guardas semilla de tu cosecha o la intercambias con tu vecino, te arriesgas a multas.
3. MUERTE DE LA SEMILLA CAMPESINA: Las variedades nativas del sur no pasan por laboratorios caros. Quedan fuera.

¿EL RESULTADO?
Empobrecer al pequeño agricultor y dejar el negocio en manos de 3-4 grandes corporaciones que sí pueden pagar la certificación.
