As the vote goes to cabinet today for the inquiry in to care of children with Spina Bifida and scoliosis, I want this image etched in their mind.
A simple closed door.
Harvey’s bedroom door.
A door I cannot clean because those marks at the bottom are from him bursting through it in his wheelchair.
Bursting through, full of joy, full of life.
This door should be open.
Sounds of laughter should still be echoing from that room,
But it remains closed.

Clifford: The Day He Chose Greatness Differently
David Clifford scored 0-9 in an All-Ireland Final, and somehow that’s not the headline.
Because what defined him yesterday wasn’t just what he did on the ball, it was what he chose not to do.
He stayed wide. He stayed high. He stayed out of the chaos, often drifting where he wouldn’t see possession for minutes at a time, not because he wasn’t needed, but because he understood what the team needed more.
Space. Structure. Stretch. Options.
Every great forward wants the ball. On All-Ireland Final day, every fibre of him must have craved it. But Clifford’s greatness wasn’t in demanding the moment it was in elevating the players around him, in choosing to create rather than consume.
He let Gavin White own the early tempo.
He let Joe O’Connor storm the middle third.
He let Paudie conduct the attack.
And still he scored nine.
That’s not just leadership. That’s clarity, humility, and trust on the grandest stage.
For me, that’s what sets him apart.
Not the points tally. Not the two-pointers.
But the quiet discipline of a player who could have made it all about himself and didn’t.
That’s why for me he’s the best we’ve ever seen.
"My mother has probably swallowed her rosary beads and my father has probably the cows milked three times with nervousness. I'm so thrilled for everybody."
Tipperary manager Liam Cahill said he never doubted his players, going from a low ebb to glory. #sundaygame
Yesterday marked 14 years since these two men murdered Michaela. We were on our honeymoon.
So many empty promises from Mauritius in our quest for justice.

As soon as league tables are kept, sport for many kids becomes a little less enjoyable.
Because when results matter, sport becomes a little less inclusive
Often resulting in unequal game time, unequal opportunity & then the inevitable dropout
We need to press the pause button
Can you #help please? My elderly parents have gone missing in #Venice They got separated & my dad (with Alzheimer’s) has both their phones. They didn’t arrive back at the pick up point & no one knows where they are. They’re called Bronwen and Stan. Please share!
Our U8 girls had a great time on Friday evening as they attended a blitz in Kingscourt. The girls played some fantastic football against Kingscourt and Magheracloone in a superbly organised blitz. Massive thanks to Kingscourt Stars for hosting 💚🤍

Mícheál Ó Muircheartaigh, a giant of sports broadcasting. RIP
He took over as RTÉ Radio 1's premier radio commentator when Míchael O'Hehir retired from broadcasting in 1985.
His last All-Ireland final came in 2010, when he commentated on Cork's win over Down in the football decider, and he retired from broadcasting in October of that year.
He died in hospital this morning, aged 93.
