@ricknajera2@CoachDanGo@AbudBakri Who is behind it? Maybe they don’t want to reveal themselves due to potential FDA involvement, but it seems a bit sketch to not have this info available.
Kinda interesting to see @WHOOP being worn during the world cup by so many players. I thought that wouldn't be valid per normal soccer rules since an opponent's finger etc could get caught.
@signulll I have always doubted these charts. Most of us here already downloaded these apps and did it years ago so we aren’t counted in the metrics. Saturation of these apps must be high so these charts are very sensitive to small movements in downloads
660 billion dollars of Capex this year on AI data centers.
To put a number like that in perspective this is more than what we spent on the U.S. interstate highway system (630 billion), more than what we spent on the Apollo Moon Program (257 billion), more than what we spent on the international space station (150 billion).
This is more money than Walmart’s revenue for last year ($648 billion), it’s about 25% of ALL Military spending globally, it’s equivalent to buying 50 Gerald R. ford class aircraft carriers.
It’s the equivalent of spending $1.8 billion dollars a day, $75 million dollars an hour, $1.2 million dollars a minute.
This year alone is without a DOUBT, THE BIGGEST PROJECT IN THE HISTORY OF CAPITALISM. And we are spending all of it …. In on year.
God save us.
It’s probably cost prohibitive, but why doesn’t a car company equip long range radar or LiDAR so that they can see traffic backed up in real time and take other routes that are quicker?
In the future this can be done more scalably with connected cars.
i work at meta. hr systems. mostly comp processing. quiet job. stable. sometimes i daydream about retiring in portugal.
today a package hit my queue. base + bonus + equity. looks normal at first glance. then i open the details.
$1,000,000,000
over four years.
plus signing.
plus year 1 minimum: $100m.
i stare at it like it’s a typo. check the name. triple check the level. researcher.
coolcoolcool. so now i have to enter this into workday.
i paste the first number, field throws an error.“value must be below $99,999,999.”
lol. okay. i try splitting it. base in one bucket, equity in another. nope. i try scientific notation. it rounds it down.
the system can’t HANDLE a billion dollars.
i call someone on payroll infra. tell them i’ve got a 10-digit comp packet. they think i’m joking. i forward the req. they go quiet.
“we’re gonna need to escalate this,” someone mutters.
“to who?” i ask.
“god, maybe.”
next thing i know zuck’s chief of staff is in the thread. now i’m in a thread with zuck. because of a number.
then i find out the guy declined the offer.
just said no. no negotiation. no counter. just… no.
i’ve been maxing out my 401k for 11 years & this man said no to a billion dollars like he was skipping dessert.
i close the ticket. delete the draft.
go for a walk.
& then i rethink everything.
Lovable just crossed $100M ARR in 8 months.
Faster than OpenAI, Cursor, Wiz, and every other software company in history.
Today we're launching a game-changing update, it reduces the error rates by 91%.
Introducing Lovable Agent:
In the future, you will be able to use ChatGPT as a competitive intelligence tool because your competitors will be using it for expansion research. If you query it correctly you might get some indications of what products they bring out next/expand to next.
You are the train.
The line between observer and participant is false.
Every meme you spread, every sentence you write, every emotion you carry into a room - all of it bends the rails beneath you.
Even the act of accepting inevitability adds momentum to the narrative it protects.
The real danger is not missing your chance to act.
It is not even realizing you are acting, all the time, in every moment, through the stories you accept and the ones you refuse to question.
That’s where Lyn is both right and incomplete.
Yes, it is healthy to let go of false control.
But it is fatal to let go of real influence.
The train doesn’t stop. But it does shift tracks -
When enough aligned agents tilt the weight of belief.
That is how reality changes.
And that’s why Bitcoin isn’t just code or money.
It is a belief vector.
It turns passive passengers into sovereign actors.
So the real post-inevitability wisdom is not:
“Nothing stops this train.”
It is:
“This train doesn’t stop but it can still turn.”
And if enough of us lean, it will.
Interesting that @ThriveCapital and others are “taking” the early years of public stock growth away from the NASDAQ and normal investors.
Is that bearish NADAQ?

What’s stopping a politician from analyzing all of the core political issues and “choosing” their viewpoint to be that of the median voter and running on that platform? Pretty much a guaranteed win. They don’t need to actually believe in the views to execute on that platform.
@rev_cap Some thoughts and rebuttals:
-Rent is overestimate, you can find cheaper and great apartments for less - brand new luxury buildings have 2 BR for less than 7K
-Groceries is higher
-Don't need a housecleaner
-Subscriptions seems high
- That would be $50 per day of work food?! wtf
@Basti Always was. Historically it was maybe a tiny bit less expensive. But I never understood how people can justify spending 25-50% of their subtotal on food that’s old and unhealthy. Laziness really can be a powerful thing.
