I principali politici e partiti italiani collegati a George Soros (tramite finanziamenti diretti, indiretti o legami con la Open Society Foundations e organizzazioni collegate) sono soprattutto esponenti di centrosinistra e liberali, in particolare di +Europa, PD e Alleanza Verdi e Sinistra (AVS). Si tratta di contributi dichiarati, spesso sotto forma di donazioni elettorali o “servizi” (consulenze, campagne di comunicazione), considerati legali e trasparenti dalle parti coinvolte. Le fonti sono inchieste giornalistiche (Adnkronos e altre) basate su dichiarazioni pubbliche e bilanci.1

È il caso più diretto e rivendicato apertamente:
•Nel 2019 George Soros e la moglie Tamiko Bolton versarono circa 100.000 euro ciascuno (totale intorno ai 200.000) al partito per le elezioni europee.5
•Nel 2022, per le politiche, contributi diretti a candidati: Benedetto Della Vedova e Riccardo Magi (allora e attuale segretario) circa 312.000 euro ciascuno; altri esponenti come Giordano Masini, Simona Viola, Carla Taibi (circa 260.000) e Anna Maria Corazza Bildt (100.000).
Magi e Della Vedova hanno più volte rivendicato questi fondi come legittimi, legati a valori liberali, europeisti e di diritti civili, senza contropartite.5
Partito Democratico (PD)
I legami passano soprattutto attraverso l’associazione Agenda (fondata nel 2022 da Jessica Shearer, ex collaboratrice di Obama, insieme a esponenti PD come Rachele Scarpa, Caterina Cerroni e Sofia Di Patrizi). Agenda ha ricevuto oltre 1 milione di euro (800.000 nel 2022 + 275.000 nel 2023) dalla fondazione svedese Democracy & Pluralism, guidata da Daniel Sachs (vicepresidente di Open Society).3
Beneficiari di servizi/contributi da Agenda o collegati (cifre indicative dal 2022):
•Giuseppe Provenzano (ex ministro, responsabile Esteri nella segreteria Schlein): circa 13.000 euro.
•Ouidad Bakkali: circa 77.000 euro.

•Valentina Ghio: circa 38.000 euro.

Esiste anche il ruolo di Social Changes (agenzia di comunicazione legata ad ambienti progressisti USA), che ha supportato candidati PD in varie elezioni.
Alleanza Verdi e Sinistra (AVS) / Sinistra Italiana
•Nicola Fratoianni (segretario di Sinistra Italiana): circa 110.000 euro in servizi da Social Changes nel 2022.
•Marco Grimaldi: circa 25.000 euro.
Altri nomi emergono in alcune ricostruzioni (es. riferimenti a Ilaria Cucchi in contesti simili).3
Altri legami o menzioni
•Elly Schlein: citata in passato in liste di eurodeputati considerati “affidabili” da Open Society; non risultano finanziamenti diretti personali documentati allo stesso livello degli altri.
•Storici: Radicali Italiani (vicini a Bonino) ricevettero centinaia di migliaia di dollari da Open Society per progetti su immigrazione e diritti.
•Rapporti indiretti o di stima: Romano Prodi (laurea honoris causa a Soros a Bologna, collaborazioni passate); giudizi positivi di Soros su figure come Mario Monti o Mario Draghi.
•Open Society ha finanziato anche ONG, associazioni (ARCI, CILD, ASGI e altre) attive su immigrazione, diritti civili e temi progressisti, che operano in ambiti politicamente contigui alla sinistra.0
Questi flussi sono pubblici e dichiarati (obbligatori per legge). Dopo il 2019, i finanziamenti esteri diretti ai partiti sono più limitati, mentre restano possibili quelli a candidati o tramite intermediari. I beneficiari di +Europa li difendono esplicitamente; su Agenda e Social Changes ci sono state smentite di legami “diretti” con Soros, ma il collegamento tramite Sachs e Open Society è documentato nelle inchieste. Non risultano collegamenti comparabili con esponenti di centrodestra. Le cifre e i nomi derivano da reportage basati su documenti ufficiali.

Il "Sacro Macello" della Valtellina (luglio 1620) fu una brutale carneficina orchestrata dietro le quinte dagli spagnoli. La Spagna sfruttò il pretesto della fede per scardinare il controllo della Repubblica delle Tre Leghe (i Grigioni) su quel corridoio geografico vitale.

La rivolta non nacque come un movimento spontaneo della popolazione cattolica locale.Fu pianificata a Milano dal governatore spagnolo, il Duca di Feria, insieme al nobile valtellinese Giacomo Robustelli. Madrid finanziò segretamente i congiurati cattolici con ingenti flussi di oro, fornendo armi e addestramento logistico alle bande armate che avrebbero dovuto compiere l'attacco.

L'azione scattò nella notte del 19 luglio a Tirano e si estese nei giorni successivi a Teglio, Sondrio e Traona. I ribelli cattolici sbarrarono le vie di fuga e massacrarono tra i 400 e i 600 civili protestanti, inclusi donne e bambini, in una caccia all'uomo sistematica che gli storici paragonano alla Notte di San Bartolomeo. Le autorità e i funzionari inviati dai Grigioni a governare la valle furono i primi obiettivi fisici dell'epurazione.

Subito dopo l'eccidio, il piano spagnolo si compì esattamente come previsto: cacciati i Grigioni, venne proclamata una provvisoria "Libera Repubblica di Valtellina" guidata dallo stesso Robustelli. Questa repubblica era in realtà uno Stato fantoccio interamente dipendente dalla Spagna. Il Duca di Feria inviò immediatamente truppe regolari dal vicino Forte di Fuentes (situato a Colico, all'imbocco della valle) per occupare militarmente i punti strategici.Grazie a questo orrendo bagno di sangue, gli Asburgo di Spagna riuscirono a mettere le mani sulla Via Spagnola, assicurandosi il libero transito delle truppe verso il fronte della Guerra dei Trent'anni e infliggendo un colpo durissimo alla coalizione franco-veneziana.

Fu propio da quel corridoio che scesero i lanzichenecchi spagnoli per andare ad assediare Mantova e passarono da Lecco.

Oggi, se qualcuno provasse a descrivere un piano simile prima che accada — con oro straniero segreto, infiltrazioni di agenti provocatori, élite che pianificano un massacro civile a tavolino per ridisegnare i confini — verrebbe immediatamente etichettato come un "teorico del complotto" o un paranoico.

Behold the human wreckage of the cult of diversity. The tragedy of Jason Arday is that he was both built up and destroyed by the ruthless machinery of DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion). The academy made him into the golden boy of its philistine project of ‘decolonisation’ and gave not one thought to what the consequences might be if his thin story unravelled, as it inevitably would. No one can deny it now: wokeness makes false gods and real tragedies. . .

This is the poison chalice of the state religion of diversity. It lays traps for the very people it celebrates. It handpicks members of ‘the oppressed’ for moral anointment and institutional gushing while leaving them open to exposure as others start to query their credentials. That’s the toxic bargain of identity politics: it builds teetering pedestals for ethnic-minority thinkers, meaning their fall from grace is often twice as fatal.

And what a pedestal they made for Arday. They worshipped him as ‘the best in the world’. They beatified him as a black wunderkind whose very presence in a place like Cambridge might help to wash away its sins of whiteness. They canonised him as a living monument to ‘decolonisation’. It was precisely this, their giddy, narcissistic desire to manufacture a kind of black saviour, that made them turn a blind eye to the questionable elements of Arday’s CV and life story. They sacrificed their due diligence to the god of decolonisation.

And Arday suffered. He was both poster boy and sacrificial lamb of the diversity crusade. Even as he gained from it – reaching the dizzying heights of a Cambridge professorship – he was being damned by it. The foundation of myth and sand his starry career was built on was untenable. Its collapse was a given. It is a testament to the ideological blindness of the inhabitants of our ivory towers that none of them foresaw it. . . .

The Faustian ruthlessness of it all is mindblowing.

. . . The media is the only institution in this entire tragic scandal that did its job properly. Journalists found a story and they told it. It was the academy and Arday’s colleagues who failed to do their jobs. Who failed to prize merit over identity, and failed to foresee the public embarrassment that would befall their falsely promoted friend. They ignored the truth – the media found it.

I and others have been arguing for years that the politics of identity is a disaster for all, black and white alike. White kids are overlooked, black kids are patronised. Whites are branded ‘privileged’, blacks ‘oppressed’. Whites are seen as the beneficiaries of historic crimes who must atone for past sins, blacks as history’s perma-victims who require the gracious helping hand of the state. We are demonised or infantilised according to the accident of our race.

Enough. Let our monument to Jason Arday be the restoration of the true ideal of equality. We couldn’t save Jason but we can save merit from the monstrous jaws of identity.

I am bewildered, and not very impressed, by the visceral, naked, irrational hatred spat out by some defenders of Jason Arday. If a Cambridge professor is accused of being an unqualified charlatan, the accusation might be racially motivated. On the other hand it might not, depending on the evidence. The correct question to ask is not, ”What is the colour of his skin” but “Is it in fact true that he is an unqualified charlatan?” Please examine the evidence before leaping to the assumption of racism.
As for the idea that journalists “piled in on him” and “hounded him to his death”, most attacks were against Cambridge University. Jason himself was widely regarded as an unfortunate victim of foolish promotion way beyond his ability to cope. In appointing him to a professorship for which he was manifestly unqualified – in ludicrously describing him as “the best in the world” – certain senior members of the university showed a level of patronising condescension towards black people that could fairly be described as racism, while at the same time making him tragically vulnerable to such attacks as came his way.

The University of Cambridge can boast 126 Nobel Prizes. That’s more than any other university in the world except Harvard, and it does it on an endowment that is one twentieth the endowment of Harvard. In the Nobel ranking, Cambridge beats MIT, Chicago, Columbia, Oxford, and Yale (in that order). Cambridge, the university of Newton, Hawking, Russell, Wittgenstein, Moore, Keynes, Crick, Sanger, Kendrew, Perutz, Rutherford, Chadwick, Turing, Maxwell, Brenner, the list goes on and on, Cambridge is beyond question one of the very greatest universities in the world. The list of immense distinction continues to the present day. It is tragic, and deeply unfair, that the reputation of this truly great university should suffer at the hands one unfortunate anomaly, the Department of Education.
