@sadie_luck@NashvilleScene@alexjahangir@MetroSchools Receipts. Too bad our district school BM at the time couldn’t even spell his name correctly. Or maybe that was purposefully done to attempt to keep his name out of FOIA requests?
@sadie_luck@NashvilleScene@alexjahangir@MetroSchools Oct 23, 2020. His kids had 6 weeks of in-person school at this point & would continue to for that entire school year. Yet after this “emergency” meeting, MNPS halted middle and high school return that was supposed to happen the following week & elem was shut down shortly after.
@Campbell4TN@ErinOHaraTN@elrodforschools@drberthena4edu @CherylMayes I called you personally when Davidson public school kids were shut out of school for MONTHS while kids in private were in-person. Never heard you speak out about this HUGE inequality on any of your platforms. I now don’t believe you when you say things like this.
Vote out the MNPS board for the students. Take a walk down memory lane via one student. Truly sad to see the student experience over the last YEARS of high school, while surrounding systems/privates were open and mask free. Stay to the end to see the MNPS response to concerns.
“Too many public schools are failing, parents are voting with their feet, and urgent and bold action is needed. Until now, however, the only governmental response has been to spend more money — too much of which has gone to everyone but our children”

@honorstudentmo1@karenvaites@MetroSchools All while giving their superintendent extensions to her contract that is not even up til 2024, a raise when performance is at an all time low and “awards” for keeping schools closed the longest in our State.
@txsalth2o Thank you for including Nashville. It and Shelby county were some of the slowest in the country to go back in-person and go mask optional but so many lump us with Tennessee as a whole. It was miserable being 2 miles from a county line that was in-person Fall 2020.
@LetNashville@JRClemmons@GovBillLee Shutting schools!! Which he had zero to say about despite multiple calls/emails to him from desperate families. So maybe this is his fault??
@ErinOHaraTN@Tennessean I took care of some of those most vulnerable in clinic during that time and virtual was a total disaster for them (& their families). Watched my own K child flounder. So it’s just hard for me to believe you’ll be fighting for them when you said nothing when they needed it most.
@ErinOHaraTN@Tennessean As a member of @LetNashville and a district 8 voter, where was your voice for the 2-21 school year when Dr. Battle (with the Board’s support minus Fran) made the horrendous decision to force everyone virtual?? Didn’t hear a peep from you.
