A lot of people end up in completely avoidable situations, not because they didn’t know better, but because they acted off what their heart wanted in the moment, ignoring whether it was actually right in the long run. They chose what felt good right now instead of what would be safest later. And that moment of emotion becomes the reason they justify the chaos that follows. It happens all the time in sessions. People get attached to potential, swept up in temporary feelings, and later they’re left trying to piece themselves back together from something they could’ve walked away from early on.
