Ana María Archila, Mamdani’s Commissioner for International Affairs, scheduled a private meeting with Amir-Saeid Iravani, Iran’s permanent representative to the United Nations, at 2 United Nations Plaza.

Two other senior officials from her office were set to join her. Screenshots of the calendar invitation were reviewed by City Journal and confirmed.

The State Department was never informed. Once they found out, they stepped in, met with the Mamdani administration, and clarified the rules.

The meeting was canceled. Archila allegedly never told the mayor. Yeah, because we totally believe that. She was reprimanded and ordered to drop it.

This fits a pattern. An internal April memo from Archila’s office instructed staff to prioritize foreign officials who “are in political alignment/leftist.”

Iran, the leading state sponsor of terrorism that has American blood on its hands, apparently checked that box.

A city government has no business conducting freelanced foreign policy with America’s adversaries. New York is not a sovereign nation. One Constitution. One foreign policy.

The State Department did its job. Demand a full accounting of every unauthorized contact with hostile regimes under this administration.

St. Cloud councilman Scott Brodeen just unloaded on the upside down American flag at a Somali Independence Day party.

A resident tipped him off about the July 3 event at Lake George. He drove over himself and found Old Glory flying union down. Police already had a stack of complaints and fixed it. Brodeen did not hold back at the next council meeting.

“To the event organizers that were behind such a disgusting show of disrespect to a country that has given so much, it’s sickening.”

He then looked right at the politicians and candidates who showed up and did nothing. “Shame on you. We deserve better.”

The banner listed support from Democrat House hopefuls Abdi Daisane (bottom right) and Zachary Dorholt, Congress candidate Doug Chapin, and Senate candidate Peggy Flanagan. US Bank was a sponsor too.

Flying the flag upside down signals extreme distress under the Flag Code. Doing it on purpose at a public celebration of another country’s independence is pure contempt for the nation that took them in.

Real Americans stand up for the flag. These politicians stayed silent. Time to remember who actually loves this country.

Dirty judge protects fellow judge who helped illegal immigrant evade ICE inside courthouse!!

A federal judge just gave former Wisconsin Judge Hannah Dugan a slap on the wrist.

She received only a $5,000 fine and no prison time after being convicted of felony obstruction for helping a Mexican illegal immigrant dodge ICE agents inside her own Milwaukee courthouse.

Dugan was caught on camera directing the illegal immigrant out a back door to avoid federal agents who had a warrant for his arrest. She was convicted by a jury, yet the sentencing judge decided her long career on the bench meant she did not deserve jail time.

This is judges protecting their own. One judge breaks the law to shield an illegal immigrant from deportation, and another judge makes sure she faces almost no real consequences.

If an ordinary citizen had done what Dugan did, they would be facing serious prison time. But when you are part of the judicial club, the rules apparently do not apply the same way.

This kind of protection inside the judiciary is exactly why public trust in the system keeps collapsing.
