in shock & awe that I am now EMPLOYED FULL TIME!!!! 🙌🙌 for a job with a good salary, benefits, and doing meaningful work combatting eating disorders in young people 😊
3 years ago I almost slipped into a coma and died. I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes.
I paid $684 for my first 30-day supply of insulin. Some pay $1000+ a month. Many die without it.
Today I introduced legislation to cap the price of insulin at $50 a month. #txlege
A child is 242 times more likely to have an eating disorder than they are to have type 2 diabetes.
Yet the vast majority of our public health education is spent warning parents (and kids) about “childhood obesity”.
Why? Fatphobia (not health).
are we really still posting stories from airports/planes? like just advertising you don’t care? Unless you’re traveling for an important reason but then like... why share that?
