It has nothing to do with Companies House, other than it is scraping the data of newly formed companies.

Increase in tax-free mileage

If you claim for business miles in a personal car, the tax-free rate has increased from 45p to 55p per mile and is backdated to the start of the tax year.

This is for the first 10k miles and it remains at 25p for further miles driven.

There has been a serious data breach at Companies House. We monitor almost all the data for our clients and review any changes.

None of our clients appear to be affected but if you receive letters or emails about unexpected changes at CoHo then contact them straight away.

If your income from self-employment plus rental income exceeds £50,000 in 2024/25 then you must join MTD - Making Tax Digital - from April 2026.

This means quarterly returns to HMRC.

The limit drops to £30,000 then £20,000 in 2028.

From today, changes to a Director’s details require a 11-character code from https://t.co/EsRMWUePW8 to identify the Director. All officers need to have this before filing the Confirmation Statement.

We can’t get this code for you, and there are penalties for late filing.
