The convenience of those from the West, looking concerned but never really dipping a finger… while poor innocent lives are sacrificed, souls who have nothing really to do with the war… the Ukrainians have really no choice but to suffer!

Philippine’s “democracy” is most alive once again as the fiasco of electioneering reaches its peak. The intensity with which people voice out their candidates, not to mention all the “cancelling” and apologist rhetorics, cannot even be dissuaded by the pandemic situation.

Time and again, we get disillusioned. Yet we never learn. Critical without being self-critical. Where is the discernment in that? The temptation to join the mudslinging and character assassination is real, to the detriment of meaningful political discourse and reflection.
