We do not protect the future generations in this country. 19 girls. Complaints reportedly reached the education directorate in March. It took a documentary in October for things to move.
7 months later?!
A country that only ‘acts’ when cameras arrive.
Kai!
‘Protect the children’ only seems to matter in this country if it’s queer people they want to persecute. It’s crazy how so many kids’ safety and health are simply disregarded because of someone in a position of power
I'm staying away from the Obuasi headmaster case because it's very triggering.
But I've seen enough snippets on the TL to wonder why he's still a free man.
Where is family values FC when you need them?
All this energy for adult gays and none for an old man preying on students?
While we’re on the matter, children are NOT in school to serve housemasters and housemistresses.
Stop making children cook for you, clean your homes, wash your clothes, fetch water and perform other personal chores that have absolutely nothing to do with their education.
They are students, not your domestic workers!
And please, spare me the “we did it in our time” argument.
Just because you endured something doesn’t mean another generation should have to.
Some traditions deserve to end with us.
Children go to school to learn, not to serve the very adults who have been entrusted with their care.
once again i believe a more nefarious reason sex ed isn’t prevalent in this country is that it would provide the kids with the ability to preempt, recognize and speak about abuse.
