@latha_venkatesh Public Policy (monetary policy focus) is honestly quite shallow and far less rigorous than even a DU BA Econ, which goes much deeper.
Also, has he published any peer-reviewed work? A central banker shouldn’t come across this dependent on borrowed wisdom from elsewhere and babus
@TediBalla@tishasaroyan I'm worried about my next job, or switch.
My master's + work ex completely overshadowed the private university tag but the anxiety of being perceived as bottom of the barrel incrementally seeps in.
@tishasaroyan It’s stressful to be in this situation due to management’s mistakes, but we have to get through it.
Let’s not frame it so harshly, the reaction feels overblown. Many of us performed as good as peers from best universities, and such remarks are discouraging and demoralising.
@tishasaroyan Hi @tishasaroyan as an Alumni it pinches us to be called like that, there's 20k+ current students & 1.5L+ in their careers already.
Some of us greatly benefited from the good faculties & for many of us it broke the glass ceiling of making it into better programs/unis later (1/n)
@kendheswapnil I think the rot would be deeper if we stopped speaking about it, it's good to have moral high grounds, good to have a society which understands the difference between moral and amoral
