The Canadian writer Amber Von Grat pronounced the Shahadah and Embraced Islam.
She stated that she entered Islam because of Ayat al-Kursi, which saved her from nightmares.

After engaging in energy healing, chakras, and similar satanic beliefs, she began experiencing nightmares. A Muslim young man told her that such practices allow the jinn to possess her and advised her to play a YouTube clip containing Ayat al-Kursi.

Amber said: “After playing Ayat al-Kursi, the nightmares disappeared. I told myself: Maybe it’s a coincidence. Then I stopped playing the Quran, and the nightmares returned. I saw in a dream that I was in my living room, and an old woman I had never seen entered the room. When I started typing the name of the clip to play it, she began strangling me and stopping me from playing the Quran.”

After this nightmare, Amber wondered to herself why the woman in the dream did not want Ayat al-Kursi to be played. From there, Amber began praying as Muslims do, and eventually, she became a true Muslim.
