Very proud of the new collaborations we have established with the @sqmscenter . This past week collaborators from @INFN_@rigetti and @Fermilab have successfully measured qubits at the underground gran sasso facilities as one of the steps of the round robin experiment @LngsInfn
Barton Hall at Cornell will be hosting the Grateful Dead this Monday May 8th reminiscent of maybe the greatest Dead concert ever held here on May 8th 1977.
The U.S. #Quantum Information Science Summer School (Aug. 6–15) is accepting applications with a deadline of this Friday, April 28. Learn more about this exciting 10-day program and apply today: https://t.co/50m1J16Pr4. @Fermilab@doescience#undergrad#grad#postdoc#QIS
Assembly of Darkside-20 dark matter search begins in Gran Sasso Italy. Nitrogen storage being installed to be used to test silicon photomultipliers (Sipm-s) for the experiment in a new modern class 1000 clean room.
Dr. Helen Edwards dedicated 40 years of her life to deepening our understanding of particle physics. Her pioneering research earned her well-deserved national recognition. I cannot think of a worthier namesake for @Fermilab’s IERC & I’m proud to have joined this effort.
This enormous neutrino detector cavern a mile underground in Lead South Dakota just keeps getting bigger. Keep digging. Thanks to Matt Kapust from SDSTA for this photo.
It was an honor to participate to the U.S. Italy JCM in Rome organized by the @ItalyMFA and @StateDept and highlight the important cooperation in QIS and particle physics between @Fermilab @sqmscenter @INFN_ @doescience
First collaboration meeting of 2023 has come to an end. Reports of hard work, plans moving ahead and everything in between. We couldn't be happier to be at @CERN and enjoy their hospitality - thank you! And of course, it always good to see each other in person. #dunescience
Professor DeCory was a Native American, an advocate for their way of life and beliefs, and a wonderful supporter of the goals of our science. She will be missed. Lakota elder Jace DeCory passes away | Sanford Underground Research Facility. https://t.co/bOpx5UoGfF
“Typically when you build scientific equipment, the last thing you want to do is put it on a boat across the Atlantic, drive it on a truck across America, and put it down a mile deep mine shaft,”

Great to see the amazing accomplishments by @AGrassellino @sqmscenter since the start of the Nat Quantum Initiative. And all the great advances @Fermilab since I was there last. And most important, seeing old friends!
