@richardlellisjr Local autonomy and improved public efficiency have long aimed to revitalize local areas, but if contraction is too drastic, it could lead to a decline in infrastructure and integration capabilities, and affect national cohesion.
If browsers and social media tools cannot be customized, we will increasingly tend to look for alternatives. Ultimately, design can lead to user churn and hinder the free flow and expression of information.
🚨BREAKING: It is now CONFIRMED that everybody on SNAP will be required to reapply to the program.
186,000 dead people. Hundreds of thousands getting double the benefits.
This is EXACTLY what I voted for.
🚨 PETER DOOCY has an incredible FACT CHECK on inflation, comparing the first year of Trump vs Biden:
• For overall inflation, Biden was 4.3% overall and Trump 1.6%
• For groceries, Biden had 3.8% inflation and Trump 1.4%
• For gas, Biden had 24.4% inflation and Trump -5.4%
The Affordable Care Act made health care less affordable… the Inflation Reduction Act caused a lot of inflation…government student loans made college more expensive…public housing and rent control destroyed decent housing…etc, etc.
Government’s the problem; not the solution.
"@Target is dropping prices ahead of the holidays... announcing reduced costs on 3,000 food, beverage, and essential items starting this month. Target is also bringing back its Thanksgiving meal at its lowest price EVER."
I fully support Anna Paulina Luna's push for a congressional ban on stock speculation. Pelosi's "investment miracle" of turning $3 million into $280 million is simply impossible for ordinary people; it clearly exceeds the bounds of fairness.
A 17,000% profit return on stocks is statistically impossible, unless you are a member of Congress with access to inside info. Funny enough, the only people against banning stock trading for Congress are those within the institution.
Seeing Kristi Noem give a $10,000 bonus to TSA employees who didn't take leave during the shutdown, I think it's absolutely right. I truly admire those "patriots" who persisted in working in Portland, not knowing if they would ever receive their paychecks.
🚨 BREAKING: Kristi Noem is issuing $10,000 BONUS CHECKS to TSA agents who didn’t call out sick during the shutdown
MUCH deserved.
I spoke with agents in Portland who were true patriots and were DETERMINED to keep doing their jobs — even not knowing they’d get back pay.
I get that making housing more affordable is important, but shouldn’t we be focusing on long term stability rather than short-term “seemingly cheap” fixes?
Do you think these ultra long mortgages actually help young buyers, or are they just setting everyone up for heavier debt down the road?
A 30-year mortgage currently has an interest rate of 6.3%. A reasonable guess it that a 50-year mortgage rate would be about 7.0%.
⇒ The monthly payment on a $500k mortgage:
- 30 years: $3,050 per month
- 50 years: Only $100 less at $2,950 (but 240 months longer).
Exactly. It’s no longer about party lines both sides are too busy with short-term fixes and political theater while the real problems keep getting worse. No one wants to be the one to speak the hard truth. If Washington doesn’t start changing course soon, the voters eventually will.
The Treasury continues to issue bonds, and the Federal Reserve is investing in these debts, which have indeed been growing. Long-term inflationary pressures persist, and every time Washington claims to be helping the middle class upgrade, it is actually weakening their purchasing power, leaving more and more people disappointed.
Thank you to all the veterans for everything you’ve done for us, and to everyone who has given their lives for our freedom I am truly grateful. To all who have served, are serving, or have made the ultimate sacrifice, Happy Veterans Day.
@RapidResponse47@POTUS@VP@SecVetAffairs Thank You Veterans for all you've sacrificed for us
I am grateful to spend another day in peace thanks to all who have given their lives for our freedom.
To the Veterans who fight and have fought and died, to
Christ who lived, died, won the battle and is alive again
@SecScottBessent Housing is definitely a key issue, and big developers and private equity have too much influence. Looking at the long term, things like zoning laws, infrastructure, incentives, and boosting local supply can also make a real difference.
Buying a $50k car with a standard 6 year loan at the current avg interest rate of 9.41%, would cost you $65,627.
You would pay $93,492 with a 15 year loan.
This isn’t to make car ownership accessible.
It’s to keep people in debt and make Trump’s Wall Street donors more money.
In my view, extending the length of auto loans might seem to ease short term payments, but in reality, it ends up putting regular car buyers with much more long term debt.

@SpencerHakimian SNAP shortfalls are hitting 47 million Americans. Are Democrats really prioritizing the right things? If basic needs came first, could we still cut taxes?
🚨HOLY COW: President Trump has instructed all Governors in the United States to switch to paper ballots, same-day voting, Voter ID & proof of citizenship.
Do you support this?
