We don’t currently have any commercial flights in and out but it serves as an emergency landing strip and military training. 400k doesn’t go far your right, but the goal is to attract investment.

@joshryanjames For further details, the money is earmarked for a local non profit theatre, the international airport that we have which is currently falling apart, and money for tourism which is one of the largest sectors in the area.

@ryangerritsen Here’s the thing, stealth or not fighter jets are not the future, drones are. Why would we stick ourselves with a $200m paper weight if the US administration decides they are having a bad day? Keep the 18 that we already paid for, they will fulfill NORAD needs and move to Saab.

@brianlilley Where do we think parts are going to be manufactured? It’s not a far cry to say that these 30 companies could supply parts in the same way they supply for Lockheed Martin, potentially even more than just 1.4% of the f-35.

@brianlilley @erin_jason14760 The Saab Grippen E literally just delivered the first of the model. You wouldn’t call the 2025 f-150 something that went into service 1975. The Grippen E is classified as a Gen 4.5 aircraft. It’s actually so distinct from other grippens they considered a name change.

Also good to keep in mind that their single player version of the game “Squadron 42” is slated to release in 2026.
