Subject: Urgent Request to Conduct BBMP Elections | Day 73/100 Demand

Respected @siddaramaiah, @DKShivakumar,

Today marks the 73rd day of our persistent call for immediate BBMP elections. It has been 15 years since the last BBMP election, and without a democratic administrative setup, Bengaluru cannot thrive! We have become slaves to corruption and deceit. The city’s infrastructure is at its worst, with chaos everywhere. Honest taxpayers are being exploited like never before, leading to frustration, agony, disbelief, and hopelessness. This is hindering the growth of both the city and the country.

In addition to our ongoing demand for elections, we urgently need immediate attention to a critical issue affecting our daily lives. There is a severe pothole on Sarjapur Road near Muthanallur Cross, which is a key junction for many schools. This pothole is causing significant delays for children traveling to school, disrupting their schedules and compromising their safety.

The need for BBMP elections and immediate infrastructure improvements has never been more pressing. With proper governance and accountability, such issues can be addressed efficiently.

Today marks the 63rd consecutive day of our relentless demand for the immediate conduct of BBMP elections. The attached image is a stark depiction of the daily struggles faced by Bengaluru's citizens. This scene, captured in one of the many neglected areas of our city, shows a chaotic and treacherous stretch of road, now resembling more of an IT slum than a part of a major metropolitan city.

Motorists, including bikers and truck drivers, are forced to navigate through waterlogged, pothole-ridden roads, risking their safety and damaging their vehicles. This dire situation is a direct result of the lack of maintenance and the absence of a governing body that can address these infrastructural failures.

Bengaluru, once known for its impeccable infrastructure and rapid development, is now facing severe setbacks due to administrative negligence. The ongoing absence of an elected BBMP body has left our city's infrastructure in shambles, with no accountability or urgency to address these pressing issues.

We implore you to prioritize the conduct of BBMP elections. An elected body will ensure that the voices of the citizens are heard and that the city's infrastructure receives the attention and maintenance it desperately needs.
