Virgin Trains has moved a step closer to challenging Eurostar, with UK regulators giving pre-approval for up to 20 daily return services through the Channel Tunnel from 2030. 🚆 Competition on London–Europe rail can only be good for passengers. Would you switch? #RailTravel
This should attract engagement because the development was reported on 17 August and puts a familiar consumer question—more competition, better fares and service—at the centre of a major rail story.
Dublin Airport just recorded its busiest month EVER: 3.8 million passengers in July. ✈️ Yet Ireland’s main international gateway still has no rail connection. With passenger numbers hitting records, surely getting to the airport deserves as much attention as flying from it? #DublinAirport
@davidyelland@amazon That’s a serious-looking incident. The 787 appeared to rotate extremely late before the tailstrike — thankfully it got airborne safely. It’ll be very interesting to see what investigators determine caused this. ✈️
@Dexerto If passengers were trapped on a sweltering aircraft with no air conditioning, no free water and people becoming physically ill, that raises serious questions about how the situation was handled. Delays happen — but basic passenger welfare should never be optional.
Celebrating 3 million creators in YPP while making it harder for the next wave of smaller channels to qualify feels like pulling the ladder up behind you.
Premium Lite may create more revenue opportunities, but higher entry thresholds mean many genuine creators could spend even longer building an audience before seeing a cent.
YouTube needs new creators to keep taking chances — don’t make the starting line harder to reach.
Just how small can a Dublin hotel room get? 😅
I stayed at easyHotel Dublin to see whether the low price makes the tiny room worth it.
Clean, modern… but there’s barely any space around the bed.

Would you stay here for a night in Dublin? 👇
@malber9@Delta Six hours late and now the cabin comes with its own weather system. 😂✈️
I’ve seen a bit of mist from aircraft air-conditioning before… but not sure I’ve ever seen it quite like this!
@Delta, complimentary fog machine or optional extra? 😅
UK rail passengers face another weekend of disruption, with strike action affecting East Midlands Railway services through August. 🚆
When reliability drops, the real cost isn’t just the ticket—it’s whether you can trust the journey. Would you still choose rail? #RailTravel
@Dexerto Scientists are hoping to recreate Guinness from 1864 using DNA from a bottle found in a shipwreck.
In the interests of historical research, I’d just like to formally volunteer as a taste tester. 🍺😂
Someone has to do it.
@xAviation Delivered to Air France in 2013 and parked up by 2020… poor thing 😢✈️
Does anyone know if you can adopt an unwanted A380?
I’ve got absolutely nowhere to put it, but I’m willing to make this work. 😂
A little Ryanair travel tip I discovered on my flight home ✈️
Flying on a Boeing 737-8200? Be careful choosing a window seat in row 12 — there’s no window there at all.
Definitely one I’ll remember next time I’m picking a seat. 😄

@transcotland@CalSleeper@scotgov@StephenFlynnSNP A direct sleeper from Scotland to mainland Europe sounds brilliant—but it will only work if ordinary travellers can afford it. The Caledonian Sleeper is already very expensive. Price it like a luxury hotel and most people will continue to fly.
@Michaelkelly707@united I heard them fly over my house in the midlands even while editing with headphones I could hear the engines and immediately looked at flight24
