@ODIHQ@PutzZiski Great panel discussion. That quote stood out to me too. Bit like freedom of speech - we have a responsibility to stand up and challenge the haters.
Many thanks to @danjconn for the free ticket to #SOOCon23. Great speakers, great chats, great exhibitors (particularly excited to connect with @ODIHQ). Dan's presentation was really clear to a non specialist in #security. Wish I'd been there today too, for @Jimmy_Wales' keynote.
Just found my short talk to @DataBrighton's meeting on 30 Nov is now online (https://t.co/qL8chqlg7f from 1h09m).
Encouraging conference participation, plus a light hearted example to explain #MachineLearning.

Busy week: Organising a @CodebarBrighton workshop on Tuesday. Then I gave a short talk to @DataBrighton on Wednesday (scary but great feedback). Then I had some lovely chats at the @SiliconBrighton Leaders event on Thursday.
@MSFTReactor: Meetup says 09:00 for the workshop on Curating your Data Science Portfolio, but the holding page says 13:00. Will it be recorded? I've got to go out now, but I'd love to watch it later, please.
Fantastic relaunch of @brightonpy. Great talk from @SourceryAI but what an awesome community. I can't remember the last time I had so many lovely conversations. Thanks to @datacove1 and @eagle_labs Brighton for making it happen.
Sad to finish my month at @ocrexams, as a #monitor of exam appeals in #GCSE#maths and #computerscience. Hugely impressed by the professionalism and integrity of the process. Lovely people, lovely office, fascinating work: I’m going to miss it!
Just revisiting my notes from all the talks I went to at last week's awesome @europython conference in #Dublin. Particularly impressive commitment to diversity and inclusion.
Exhausted (in a great way) after @pydatalondon! Thanks to all the organisers, volunteers, speakers, stallholders and all the lovely people I chatted to. Even the worst #vegancatering for years at @thetowerLDN didn't spoil it.
Thanks @SiliconBrighton. Awesome 'Race to Zero' event last night. Inspiring presentations by Chris Hines et al. Great to see a packed house at the cool @plusxspace. Amazing catering (rescued food waste) from @realjunkfoodBri - must find their cafe on Gardner St.
We still have a couple of *student* places (a rare thing!) available for this Tuesday's workshop at @wearetilt – grab them while you can, and learn to code with help from a friendly coach 😊 Beginners welcome! https://t.co/v8A4G7from
