I think this whole truck situation exposed a much bigger problem than the truck itself.

Questioning photos is fine. Questioning videos is fine. Disliking the slogan is fine.

But somewhere along the way, “I’m not convinced” turned into “the truck is fake,” then “antis/CDG did it,” and then even “they did it to divide us from CN supporters.”

That is a huge chain of conclusions for something that was never actually proven.

And then people celebrated it as a successful fact-check.

That part is what bothers me.

More photos appeared. Not enough.
Then videos appeared. Still not enough.
Then suddenly the problem became who provided the videos.

At some point you have to ask: what evidence would ever be enough?

You cannot disprove something simply because you dislike the source of the evidence showing that it exists.

Skepticism is rational. Moving the goalposts every time new evidence appears is not.

And labeling people who spent their own time, money and effort organizing an action as “antis” or CDG before malicious intent was ever established is not fact-checking either.

Fact-checking should make us slower to accuse people, not faster.

A large following, a confident tone and repeatedly telling everyone to “use critical thinking” do not make anyone the sole authority on what is true, rational, acceptable or effective activism.

Influence is not infallibility.

Maybe this whole mess is a good reminder to stop outsourcing our judgment to whichever large account sounds the most certain that day.

Look at the primary material.
Separate what is confirmed from what is suspected.
Separate “I dislike this” from “this is harmful.”
Separate “I have doubts” from “these people are antis.”

And apply the same skepticism to your own conclusions that you demand from everyone else’s evidence.

If your fact-check can only survive by changing the standard every time new evidence appears, maybe you are not checking facts anymore.

Maybe you are protecting a conclusion.

I’m not pointing fingers at anyone, and I’m not interested in personal fights or creating more tension.

I’m pointing at a pattern, not a person.

Suspicion became certainty. Certainty became accusation. Accusation became a victory lap.

That is what I’m commenting on. Nothing more, nothing less.

About this truck, I think I’ve seen some pretty ridiculous comments saying that our truck’s “slogans are a bit impolite and hurt PPG’s image.”

Generally speaking, players are the ones who keep game companies alive. I’ve never seen players turn around and start acting like the game company’s filial children. It’s honestly hilarious. Since when are players obligated to protect a company’s image? We don’t owe them anything, let alone the job of cleaning up their mess.

I think we’re seriously overdramatizing one slogan on one protest truck.

You can dislike “cyber murder.” You can think it’s too harsh or that it creates negative associations. That’s a perfectly valid disagreement about messaging.

But one provocative phrase on a peaceful protest truck is not going to destroy the game, destroy the movement, or somehow erase every other message on that truck.

And I’m increasingly uncomfortable with how quickly criticism of the wording has escalated into accusations about the people behind it. I’m already seeing claims that they want to harm Infold, destroy the game, sabotage Valko’s return, or are simply “bad people.”

Where is the evidence for any of that?

There is context behind this wording. For months, people on Chinese platforms have been exposed to rhetoric and content celebrating Valko’s “death,” including AI videos depicting him being killed. This language did not appear out of nowhere. You can understand that context and still dislike the slogan. But disliking it does not prove malicious intent.

The same goes for “this isn’t how things are done in Germany.” Something being unusual or uncomfortable is not the same as it being dangerous or unacceptable. If there is evidence that the action violates any rules or laws, then that is something concrete to discuss.

Public protest is allowed to be provocative. We cannot make every slogan perfectly comfortable and impossible to misunderstand for every random person outside the context.

What worries me much more right now is the escalation happening inside the community itself. When “I think this slogan was a bad choice” turns into “these people want to destroy the game,” the conversation is no longer about the slogan. It starts creating an image of the organizers as malicious or dangerous people, without any evidence that this was their intention.

That kind of framing only increases hostility inside the community and makes it harder to discuss strategy without turning fellow Valko supporters into villains.

And to the girls behind this action: HELL YEAH. You showed up, made yourselves visible, stayed peaceful, and actually did something. That’s fucking cool. 💚
