@IllusivePhantom@Pirat_Nation I'm a bit more selfish in that i just don't want to feel cheated.
Like if you used AI to cut costs drastically. I don't feel like i should still pay the same price as when a game was made entirely "Artisanally". But that is the thing. Nearly all try to do demand just that...
@AnActualWizard@Pirat_Nation Anything Steam does that seems even remotely restrictive or moderative in nature. He makes a massive deal about not doing in order to pain himself the good guy. He tried it with NFTs which caused EGS to get flooded with scams
Also he went all-in on AI. Ofcourse stigma bad now...
@Infirisios@Pirat_Nation Its not even just attacking Steam. He is shaming US for having chosen to be evil by "forcing" poor companies to pay a 30% tax, to not allow them to use AI to make slop at dirt cheap prices without criticism and to not use use his p.o.s. storefront that helps "poor" devs...
@Pirat_Nation And its back to the Consumer shaming....
Along with making it also about the 30% thing AGAIN.
If you blatantly have never given not a single F about consumers. Why should we give a F about anything you say???
@IDTen_T Honest answer. It very likely will be permanent as the Memory Cartel has actually done that exact thing before around the turn of the millennium. Which ended up in a scandal with investigation by the US Dept. of justice.
even if bobble popped. 25% less will be a miracle...
@Squidski_@IDTen_T Thing though is that they HAVE conspired before already. leading to the DRAM Price fixing scandal of 2002 by the same group of companies reaping the benefits now.
Who is to say the Memory Cartel isn't using AI as a convenient backdrop to do it once again?
@estrogen_bomb@PAYDAYGame Considering we are talking about a Engine upgrade that also changes the way all assets are stored to save over half the size.
This will definitely break mods and i don't mean just a few: ALL OF THEM.
@BepsiKoler *Me still playing games till 2AM, working perfectly fine with 5-6h of sleep and constantly being mistaken for ~27y old despite being 35*
... I think i might be a freak of nature....
@ClownStates@IA5156@Ryanseptus@RoseSilicon Like, Nobody is going to buy 5 cheap Call-of-Duty like games. They will buy ONE and only ONE and you gotta make that one count!
@ClownStates@IA5156@Ryanseptus@RoseSilicon I know it sounds weird and counterintuitive, but software genuinely has this quirk where you expect competition via lower-prices, instead you see increasing pivoting towards maximizing profit from each sale. To "further monetize" to compensate.
@AnimesOnX The logic about a indecency joke when a good number don't even wear anything. Along with throwing a cat out of the window when they always land on their feet.
It was indeed one of the sillier Ghibli movies.
@SmolCebela@DragonGirlsHome Few have anything to gain from a false-positive. So any allegation that seems to have a hole in it i treat as being simply misinformed and to be given extra context.
I cannot say much about other oddities you may have observed, but at least you now know some of SAI's Quirks
@SmolCebela@DragonGirlsHome Also you may notice the font is really tiny with no scaling, can barely tell it is anti-aliased. So i am personally also more forgiving on artifacts as average quality (streaming) encoders tend to fail at it anyway.
@SmolCebela@DragonGirlsHome No that is also SAI2. But it is a very old version that still had a ico copy of the logo from V1 that users could use. But later ones did not come with the ico and are just bland. I quickly made a screencap of my SAI2. As seen. No icons.
@SmolCebela@DragonGirlsHome It is also pretty old-school. It was already deemed special that it could recover files after a crash. But aside from that it has zero features meant for web like timelaps
But a lot of us still like to use it cause it sits in that sweetspot of not being too bare, nor too bloated
@SmolCebela@DragonGirlsHome Honestly i'd be more suspicious if it had a app icon. For this is SAI2 and that program is like the one exception to all drawing applications that does not have that. Its text is also notoriously bad to capture as it is lacks any UI scaling.
@Tofu93Draws I still can't believe SAI2 is to this day called a "Technical Preview" considering that it is already vastly more stable, reliable and usefull than the "Stable" V1.
I do still love it though. It is the epitome of "Less is More" for those who just want to draw.
