Field Rituals, Vol. 1 is out now. This project has taken me to abandoned slaughterhouses, desolate beaches and islands. And in all these magical places I have set up my gear and recorded music specifically written for these places. This album is a documentation of these rituals.

Slaughterhouse Light is the first song from my album Field Rituals, Vol. 1 - and it's out now.

It was written for - and recorded in - an abandoned slaughterhouse. The echoing space resonated with the cries of seagulls on a spring afternoon.

The Viewer And The View is released today. It's the last single before my album - Staring Light - is out on June 21 (the brightest night of the year, completing the ritual). Like many songs on the upcoming album this song borrows the title from one of my favorite books...

It's the only song on this album where I explore alternative tuning systems. I think listening to intervals outside of equal temperament ("normal" tuning) takes you to new places in your mind. Away from the familiar and into the unknown.
