@RedBirdPatriot @lenabenas21 @ACTBrigitte That’s the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard lol. If you think her audience is based solely off of her body and not her entertainment value/talent then I don’t know what to tell you. They don’t just put fat people on stages of that importance just because they’re fat.
@coolthetoad @RedBirdPatriot @lenabenas21 @ACTBrigitte The difference between Katy perry and lizzo is that lizzo actually knows how to play the instrument really well. She’s not up there because she’s what people perceive as attractive, and because she’s up there she can choose to wear what she wants. And clearly people liked it
@RF_SoTX_956@ACTBrigitte Because she wants to. She has the same reasons as someone with a slender, conventionally attractive body. Because she wants to and she likes the way it looks on her. This shouldn’t be a controversial thing
@RedBirdPatriot @lenabenas21 @ACTBrigitte Clearly a lot of people disagree. No matter who you are or what weight you are you can dress however you want, for the most part anyway. The only reason you don’t like this is because it’s not what you perceive as attractive and the republicans you follow don’t like it
@ACTBrigitte The difference is that the 18 year old wasn’t killed by a justice department intended to protect people, he was murdered by a madman. Insane people willing to kill exist in both sides and murders happen everyday that aren’t covered by the media.
Are you paying attention??
@IdahoBaldwin@johnnythesokol@prageru Theft of who? The very people who are beneficiaries? It’s cheaper than American healthcare as it is charged through general taxes that are allocated to healthcare, and the quality of care isn’t based off class, unlike America, where the poor get bad and often no healthcare
@Vorta33038064 @nypost Again, it depends on the job. If you are working, say, a receptionist job where historically you have always been allowed to sit as have your predecessors, your boss coming in and forcing you to stand for virtually no reason is over reaching, and I wouldn’t stand for that either
@justhere4funmdb@FranhfxJ@JonnyCurtis3@Timcast Well they’re not laws just because they’re biases, it’s because the thing they’re outlawing is endangering or just generally not good for other members of society. Also I think comparing gay people to criminals is a pretty fucked up thing to do, they pose no threat to anyone.
@RetiredMojoMan@JeannieO20@SenateGOP Idk if higher jail time is a solution, it seems like an incentive to not do crime but I mean we already have some of the worst prison environments among industrialized countries and that doesn’t help. Repeat offenses, no matter the amount of jail time, is very likely in America.
@JamesGo29466847 @JonnyCurtis3@Timcast Not all gay people judge religious people and vice versa, but here’s the difference: gay people had to fight against religious biases in order to obtain freedom and rights. You being mad they don’t like religion that caused their oppression is not the same.
