Hearthstone aims to build on what’s already there and add fun ‘what ifs’. Modern WoW aims to destroy everything that came before in an attempt to build their new vision for the world that only appeals to a writers room.
@Portergauge@TheRedShirtGuy Pretty ill portent that one of the most memorable zones in the game’s history was remastered and the most notable thing about it is the casual erasure of its key defining feature. A symbol of its peoples’ past, and the future they made, seemingly replaced by nothing.
@Y0KE_ Still pisses me off that lightsabers give off sparks when they collide now. Not only is the iconic burst of light gone but literally why the fuck would there be sparks.
@alexL_E_I The Appalachian mountains end in northern Georgia and the region that is actually considered the “Deep South” is characterized by rolling hills inland, pine forests and swampland/bayou. Idk where you think you are but it ain’t the “Deep South”
@lunaire_rndm Man we had the opposite last night… guardian in a 14 that i guess didn’t hear about the thrash changes. Was playing Druid of the claw and still playing the old rotation… was maybe doing 30k a pack and was losing aggro halfway through every pull 😭
@skymagpie Turalyon and the army of light stuff is sloppy and uninspired. The night elf stuff was terrible and complete nonsense. I also don't think horde players are "mad" about Zul'jan, as much as they're just concerned about his future. That's just my takeaway though
@skymagpie I'm gonna be honest I think there's an exaggeration about players being completely divided exclusively between "alliance fans" and "horde fans." Haven't met anyone that likes pretty much any part of this story except for Zul'aman leveling campaign and some of Voidstorm
@Boogily_Woogily@Echoboes Man I'm really sorry but like the vast majority of players already knew the answer to this question and you're a senior quest designer. You could have taken 15 seconds to look up the answer to this before posting this comment... are you guys just not allowed to do that..?
@Portergauge Like, this isn’t even a deliberate retcon. They’re just making stuff up without any regard for what is currently written. It’s mind boggling
@Portergauge I’m ngl man this shit blows my mind, trolls have some of the most extensively developed and documented lore of any race in game and they’re clearly being written by someone who couldn’t read a couple paragraphs on wowpedia to understand what they were writing about. Nuts
@thundahstahm Farseer shaman exemplifies some of the dev apathy pretty well. The whole “ancestors wearing old tier sets” thing is a cute idea but it didn’t seem to phase them that a dwarf ancestor maybe shouldn’t be spawning in with a troll headdress on. Butchers the fantasy of it
@MrGMYT This tweet is very misleading. The chapters shown are likely for the .1 campaign and the first chapter is likely the 0.7 quests that serve as the prelude. This is almost always how these campaigns are set up

@Queen_Ishura Additionally, I’m fairly certain that the “teal” gem color they are using was intended to represent the “healing” of the Sin’dorei (green to blue). That being said, I think that it misses the mark and the green is as important as the red that represents the blood of their people
@Queen_Ishura That’s a good point about their racial crest, but I’d still argue against there being a reason for them to “phase them out” because they were using them as recently in-universe as the heritage armor.
