تاريخيًا، لا نملك قصة سجن بيليني في روما ولا حكم إعدامه ولا إنقاذه على يد العثمانيين، وهذه نقطة مهمة، لأن المعروف أن بيليني كان رسامًا فينيسيًا أرسلته حكومة البندقية إلى القسطنطينية سنة 1479 للعمل لدى الفاتح، وبقي هناك حتى 1481 (بعد 10 سنوات تقريبًا من أحداث المسلسل الحالية)، وكانت مهمته فنية ودبلوماسية في الوقت نفسه

لكن اختيار المسلسل لهذه البداية ليس عشوائيًا

بيليني ليس شخصية عادية يمكن أن تدخل قصة الفاتح من أي باب، فهو الرجل الذي سيصبح لاحقًا شاهدًا فنيًا على السلطان، والذي سيحوّل صورة محمد الثاني إلى صورة إمبراطور بلغة يفهمها الغرب، ولذلك يجعل المسلسل طريقه إلى الفاتح يبدأ من الصراع بين روما والعثمانيين

الموسيقى التصويرية في المشهد كانت موسيقى أقرب للطابع الأوروبي، وفي الغالب لن تعجب الأغلبية، لكن شخصيًا أحببت الموسيقى الصراحة.. تعطيك شعور بالسخرية من حدث الإعدام، وخصوصًا عند ظهور الأكنجي أثناء عرضها، والانتقال بينها وبين الموسيقى المعروفة الخاصة بالمسلسل كان جميل

الظهور الأول لمراد باشا كان رهيب، واختيار الممثل ممتاز

الصراحة سعيد باختيار الأدوار هذا الموسم مقارنةً بالموسم الماضي
