Just received a call from a friend in Delhi who has confirmed from reliable Board sources that the due date for ITR filing is likely to be extended soon. Heartfelt thanks to our Judicial System for Directing the CBDT in the larger interest of taxpayers and the public at large.

और सुनने में ये भी आ रहा है की Contempt of Court की भी अर्जी लगवाई जा रही है।

🚨Audited ITR Extension expected today!!

"Just now the Honourable Punjab and Haryana High court scolded the council of CBDT for non compliance of extension order by Honourable Gujarat Court

They even said the council that if the date is not extended till now it's a clear contempt of High Court orders.

The CBDT council tried to borrow more time by seeking next date by saying the matter is pending with CBDT Chairman now..

The Honourable Court adjourned the matter till 1.45 pm today only and asked the council to get the extension order

We sincerely hope the same will be adjudicated today in our favour and extension will come today only"

आज ITR Due Date Extension का नोटिफिकेशन आने की उम्मीद है, लेकिन ये आ रहा है तो सिर्फ कोर्ट की वजह से आ रहा है

इससे पहले Tax Audit का भी पिछले महीने जो Date Extend हुआ था वो भी Court के आदेश की वजह से हुआ था और इसके बारे में ख़ुद डिपार्टमेंट ने अपने Press Release में भी लिखा था

Due Date Extension की genuine Demand के लिए भी कोर्ट ऑर्डर के बिना नहीं बढ़ाना, ये भविष्य के लिए सही संकेत नहीं है मेरे हिसाब से

CWP No. 28685 of 2025 - Taxation Bar Association, Pathankot vs. Union of India & Anr. has been disposed of today by the Hon’ble Punjab & Haryana High Court.

Since the CBDT counsel had not produced any instructions, the Hon’ble Court has passed the order to extend the last date for filing Audit Case Returns by one month, as per the provisions of the Income Tax Act, 1961
