Every time a Nollywood movie underperforms at the box office, the word “sabotage” suddenly enters the conversation.
But before blaming cinemas or fellow filmmakers, perhaps a more important question should be asked:
How much was actually spent on promotion?
Many producers invest heavily in production but treat marketing as an afterthought. Then when ticket sales don’t meet expectations, they turn to social media in search of sympathy.
