@fivepointscap I wonder how useful the product will be. Honestly this isn't some difficult engineering task, so if customers hate it, that's a very bad signal for the company's execution ability.
@fivepointscap Kind of shocked they didn't add this like a year ago. Will be especially useful in non us countries where tons of customer support is done through whatsapp. Obvious move for them.
@prashant_hq@cnakazawa The one I was at I suspected that number was way higher, either way the company needs to integrate the surfaces or else they'll suffer from duplicated work and conflicting goals
@conorsen@xvrmdf It’s largely a fairly valued company. The core business is extremely strong but the capex is extremely high and unchecked and most doubt it will amount to much. If your really confident in ai for meta beyond ads and rl it’s a good buy. Otherwise too much
@Giga292@puppyeh1 Googles management is super overrated, they’re a dual class company and it’s just so much easier to issue stock than worry about debt plus they already took out a lot of debt.
@illee9@arpitrage They are very far ahead in terms of the rocket launching frontier. The question is can they get more profits and pricing power out of it..
@illee9@arpitrage I mean spacex has far stronger of a moat than anthropic, spacexs competitors keep falling further and further behind while anthropics competitors are arguably just as good
@AppreciatorWay@TheWiseIC They’ve dropped their roi quite a lot post 2022 after att screwed everyone else. Metas makes money not through raw roi but a careful balance of making it clearly worth it while not a bargain for the customer
@Yuchenj_UW@garberchov This just seems to be some horrendous post training, the model base is largely fine (though they should infuse more agentic) data into it . I think this is a structural problem where deepmind is more research focused whereas post training is a bit more corporate..
@MindTheToken Railway because they have proven (beyond gcp) that they are not enterprise caliber infrastructure. For that reason alone they’ll be the next heroku
@MindTheToken Linear feels like the obvious answer because it’s the best product by far, but honestly because I feel that someone is going to come up with something that mogs the other three out of the water and is perfect for agentic use
@_advaitpatel@DhruvAhuja2003@zachtratar Yeah these senior devs aren’t going to random yc startups, they’re going to top tier founder startups that are raising tons of money before even coming out of stealth, very different context
@tanujDE3180 Depends a lot on the startup. There are plenty of startups with tier 1 founders where joining early enough means you’ll likely win big. Joining a company with less experienced founders often means much more risk
@DegensEye@FinanceJack44 The metaverse is still an issue, it’s not like the spending seriously stopped. Overall I think the other stuff he does outweighs it enough to make it still work but that is still a 300 billion overhang on the stock
@fivepointscap@FinanceJack44 That arguably gives far more incentive to push the company forward than a founder ceo who is insulated from the board and already was worth a lot. Zuck is the exception because he actually has that alpha mentality. Most dual class CEOs don’t.
@fivepointscap@FinanceJack44 Look at people like nikesh Arora and Larry culp. Both were extremely wealthy when they were hired, but they were offered packages that would make them billionaires if they exploded the stock. They grinded their ass off, the stocks rerated, and they became billionaires.
@ariaradnia Adobe will likely rerate eventually (or at least outperform the market substantially) but it could take at least a year, I’d personally trim amzn instead since you already got the dub on that
