In 2014, I genuinely believed in Modi and voted for the BJP. After 12 years of inefficient and incompetent governance, many supporters have turned into critics.

India has lost another 12 precious years after already losing 60 years. What a tragedy, and hardly anyone is willing to discuss it.

A Common Middle Class Person wants to buy an Alto. He works hard, pays income tax and finally goes to showroom to buy a first 4 wheeler for family.

This is what he sees.

Base Price (Pre-Tax): ₹3,87,596
GST (28%) + Cess (1%): ₹1,11,903 (29% of ₹3,87,596)
Road Tax + Regn Charges: ₹94,248
Insurance: ₹30,890

So basically, after paying income tax of 15-30%, the family pays 3.87 Lakh to the Car Company & 2.06 Lakh to the Govt. in Form of GST & Road Tax Charges.

The Govt Earns almost 53% of what the Car Maker Earns. The tax payer feels betrayed.

It is High Time, the Government rethinks on the GST for a basic 4 wheeler. 28% is ridiculously high.

The Govt. should earn not more than 10% on the hard earned money which the tax payer spends for a Basic Car.

Anything more than 10% is a message that you do not value tax payers in the country !!!

Time for some Action. I request my middle class friends to share this message far and wide...

Taxes paid to govt ~ 40%

After all this, we pay over 50% taxes on fuel and tolls, only to drive on pothole-filled roads.

There is only so much the tax paying 3% can bear for the benefit of remaining 97%. This 3% has their own dreams and aspirations. They have not been sent to work only for the benefit of 97%.

Your @narendramodi government have been keep on increasing the burden of this 3%. This 3% gets nothing in return from you. You and your finance minister @nsitharaman have been giving enough pain for this tiny minority. Spare us.

If I earn money, Nirmala tax leti hai, if I spend money then also Nirmala usme tax leti, if I don't earn or spend both and my money is just lying in investment, Nirmala uska bhi tax leti hai.
And best baat agar Mai tax deta hu, uspe bhi additional cess hai, toh usmei bhi Nirmala ek aur tax leti hai.

- Good roads without pothole.
- No live wires or open wires on streets
- Public Transport
- Footpaths and cycling path
- Maintained community parks
- Clean Government hospitals
- Transparency from FSSAI
- Strict food inspection of street food and restaurants
- Regular checks on babus
- Ease of business
- Clean river
- Clean Air

That's it. I would happily pay 40% taxes.
