Actually UGMEB President Dr Aruna V Vanikar hails from Gujrat so our health minister @mansukhmandviya can’t speak anything against her order.

She has support of @PMOIndia & @narendramodi to ruin lives of FMGs. We have seen so many times her level of hate towards FMGs.

I’ve just one question what will students learn in 2nd year internship ???

Is there anything new different from 1s year internship??

Gujrat lobby is ruining happiness of thousands of student.

Requesting officials at #NMC to have a dialogue with them, patiently. Resolve their concerns more amicably.

There are many helpful ears in the NMC, hopefully wisdom will take precedence here.

There is no logic for imposing a 2 yrs internship for #fmge ,as already they have worked without getting paid for one year .The government should understand the importance of time for every student there is no logic to harass them if they can't support them @NMC_IND @PMOIndia

So FMGs have been asked to do 2yrs of internship. It has been difficult for them to find even one year of internship, and now it's 2.
They are not paid either during this period. I fail to understand what pleasure does our officials get in harassing FMGs. Ridiculous

Why are Foreign Medical Graduates (FMG’s) in India protesting? A 10 point thread.
1.National Medical Commission (NMC) of India came out with new guidelines for Internship for FMG’s in India on 18th November 2021 and applied it retrospectively to all old (and new) FMG’s.

Foreign medical students have gone though extremely difficult times due to Covid lockdown, China refusing to open up and then Ukraine war. NMC is supposed to help such students, instead NMC is coming up with random draconian rules. They are our students not foreigners

2yrs internship for 🇮🇳 #FMGs is an unnecessary burden on the Students. I see many of them struggle because neither can they find a slot to work nor are they paid for their services. I think the officials making these rules should reconsider & make amendments. #FMGE #MedTwitter

We proved our worth by clearing the FMGE exam. We received the same education as IMG during Covid via online classes. Why are they not being asked to undergo 2 years of internship?
Bcoz our parents didn’t have the money to pay Indian private colleges?
