सोशल मीडिया के माध्यम से अजयवीर सिंह उर्फ जय सिंह राठौड़ नामक व्यक्ति द्वारा अपनी 12 वर्षीय बहन को ‘ग्लूकोमा’/‘विट्रियस हेमरेज’ जैसी बीमारी से पीड़ित बताकर, उसके आंखों के उपचार के नाम पर फर्जी दस्तावेज तैयार कर, आमजन की भावनाओं से खिलवाड़ करते हुए लोगों से गलत तरीके से धनराशि (Crowd Funding) प्राप्त किए जाने संबंधी शिकायत प्राप्त हुई थी।

उक्त शिकायत का थाना बाह पुलिस द्वारा तत्काल संज्ञान लेते हुए प्राप्त तहरीर के आधार पर संबंधित व्यक्ति के विरुद्ध सुसंगत धाराओं में अभियोग पंजीकृत करते हुए अभियुक्त को गिरफ्तार किया गया है तथा अग्रिम वैधानिक कार्यवाही प्रचलित है।

Honestly sick of seeing people take advantage of everyone’s kindness on this app. The whole Jay Singh Rathore situation is a massive lesson to stop blindly sending money to strangers on X.

​If you missed what happened, this guy claimed he was a teenager trying to raise funds for his little sister’s eye surgery to save her from going blind. He asked for small UPI donations, posted official looking medical bills, and raised over ₹1.5 Lakhs in less than a day.

​Then it all blew up. The hospital issued a statement saying the documents were completely fake, and when people called him out in X Spaces, he couldn't keep his story straight first claiming the money was for his dad, then admitting he just made it all up.
​It’s infuriating because scams like this make everyone cynical when someone actually needs real help.
​A few basic rules before you transfer your hard earned cash:

• Never send direct UPI transfers based on a tweet.

• Use verified platforms like Ketto or Milaap where funds actually go to the hospital.

• If you see suspicious "emergency" posts, call the hospital on the bill to check if the patient even exists.

What is the BNSS and what does it actually protect?

​The Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) replaced the old 1973 CrPC. It overhauls how police, courts, and citizens interact.

​Here is what it does & what YOU should know 👇

​1️⃣ Zero FIR & e-FIR Access
You can file an FIR at ANY police station regardless of where the crime occurred or log an e-FIR online. Police can no longer reject you over jurisdiction.

​2️⃣ No Station Visits for Vulnerable Citizens
Women, minors, senior citizens (60+), and people with acute illnesses cannot be forced to go to a police station for questioning it must happen at their residence.

​3️⃣ Mandatory Video Recording
Police search and seizures, as well as forensic evidence collection, must now be video recorded on mobile/camera to prevent evidence tampering and fake charges.

​4️⃣ Strict Timelines for Speedier Justice
• Police must update victims on investigation progress within 90 days.
• Judgments must be delivered within 45 days after trials end.
• Chargesheets have fixed submission deadlines no more endless court delays.

​5️⃣ Better Bail Rules
First time offenders who have served 1/3rd of the maximum sentence under trial can now get mandatory bail, helping reduce undertrial overcrowding in prisons.

A few things to check before sending money to anyone on x for fundraising:

- if they share a college or hospital bill contact the college and hospital and verified it first
- check their profile picture, photos and videos on x
- check their old posts to see if they have done fundraising before
- don’t send money just because someone’s story make you emotional

Take a few minutes to check everything otherwise scammers like jai singh rathore will keep coming.
