Most cities in NW #India including #Delhi NCR reported #Coldday conditions (<16°c max temp) on the 1st Day of 2026
COLDBLAST AHEAD 🥶
Yes, you read it right, my personal favorite coined term "ColdBlast" is likely in states of #Punjab #Haryana NW #Rajasthan #Delhi NCR, NW #UttarPradesh b/w 4th - 12th January.
• In a #coldblast we can expect maximum temperature to be reported under 10°c - single digits in a few stations while all the stations would record under #Coldday criteria <16°c
• Minimum temperatures over next week should fall under 5°c at most stations and near freezing point 0°c at a few stations of #Punjab west #Haryana and NW #Rajasthan.
• Forecasting Minimum temperatures in the range of -1°c to 4°c in most stations of Punjab, Haryana. NW Rajasthan while it should be in a range of 3 to 7°c in #Delhi NCR and #UttarPradesh during 4th till 12th January with peak during 7th - 11th January.
• Maximum temperatures at the same time in these states would hover b/w 8°c to 15°c
• About Fog, Surface visibility atleast on 2nd January will be far better as we are under the wrap of upper level fog. From 3rd / 4th Jan fresh formations of Dense Surface level #Fog can be expected, depending on strength of NW winds this will vary from Surface/ upper level fog in the the period of 4th - 12th Jan.
In a nutshell, get ready for bone chilling nights, cold and gloomy days as the peak of this #winter season finally arrives
