Time for my annual post about gifts from Santa on Christmas. ☺️🎅

When I taught first grade, I will never forget consoling a student who was upset because his friend got a trampoline and dirt bike from Santa for Christmas, and “all he got” was an outfit, a book, and one small toy.

As you’re doing your gift wrapping for your kids this month, please remember that there are many kids who aren’t getting much for Christmas, if anything at all. It creates a lot of confusion and sadness for some kids when they return to school in January and hear about all the presents their buddies got from Santa.

“Why doesn’t Santa love me as much?”
“Am I not as good or well behaved as them?”

Suggestion: Rather than signing most of the gifts from Santa, sign the majority of them from you [the parent] instead. That way, kids won’t wonder why Santa didn’t give him/her as much as he did others. ☺️
