So there I was, embarking on the journey of a lifetime – brace yourselves – a mind-boggling 10,000+ kilometer ride across the great maze of India, with my partners in crime, the unstoppable duo of @manjunathbk and @nikitabardhan7 ! Now, before you ask, yes, we did survive being cooped up in a car together for that long.

Let me tell you, we didn't just explore terrains; we practically became experts in distinguishing one pothole from another. And speaking of holes, our car had a knack for breaking down in places so spooky, even the ghostbusters would be like, "Nah, we're good."

But the best part? Oh, you're in for a treat. Picture this: cows. On the highway. Not just standing around, mind you – they're playing real-life Frogger with your car! And if you thought I'd be getting standing ovations for my mad driving skills, you're right! Okay, maybe just from my man, but hey, a standing ovation is a standing ovation, right?

Now, remember those stories about friends bunking together in college hostels? Well, let's just say, bunking with Manjunath and Nikita was a whole new level. We had value-added percussions, thanks to Manju and Nikita's nocturnal drumming skills under their blankets. And don't even get me started on the snoring – it was like a free symphony of snores every night.

Through the good, the bad, and the ugly (and trust me, we saw some sights), the experience was nothing short of phenomenal. So, a big shoutout to my partners in crime! Manjunath, Nikita, you guys are legends. You took the crazy idea of a cross-country escapade and turned it into an adventure that will forever be etched in the annals of hilarity!

Ah, Courtyard by @Marriott , you truly deserve a standing ovation for your unconventional approach to hospitality. Your front desk's masterclass in fine print comprehension was enlightening – who knew relying on people's basic math skills could be so risky? Our once-in-a-lifetime India tour finale was beautifully overshadowed by the staff's performance in extinguishing any excitement.

Your skill in extracting unexpected funds for impromptu activities deserves admiration; it's almost as if you've mastered the art of finding silver linings in wallets. To the esteemed hoteliers, your ability to elevate smirking to an art form is commendable. Gazing down upon weary travelers, you've taken snobbery to an entirely new level.

Kudos to you, @CourtyardHotels by Marriott, for transforming a road-weary journey into an unanticipated circus of financial acrobatics. It's heartening to know that even after a day-long drive, weary souls can still be greeted with such unexpected twists. Your property selection process, akin to finding a needle in a haystack, truly showcases the dedication to providing memorable surprises.

Oh, how could I forget to mention one of the highlights of our stay? The pièce de résistance was undoubtedly the captivating experience of waiting, wide-eyed and expectant, in the lobby at the charming hour of 8:30 pm. The anticipation was palpable as we awaited the grand reveal of a smoking room that was apparently still undergoing its magical transformation. A half-hour intermission, masterfully orchestrated, allowing us to reflect on the nuances of hospitality and punctuality. Classic, indeed.

In conclusion, to those considering a stay at this establishment: if you're searching for an unforgettable blend of surprise fees, condescending glances, and an overall mastery in subverting expectations, look no further than Courtyard by Marriott. Our time in Leh has come to a close as we conclude the filming of our documentary "Made In Paradise"! Our third leg of the shoot in Ladakh presented its fair share of challenges, yet with the unwavering support of the wonderful locals, we conquered them all. Countless more stories await as a result of our exploration in the Changthang valley.
