Hot take: AI will make work more creative not just replace jobs.
The future of work isnât a zeroâsum game where machines simply take our jobs. History shows that each wave of automation from the loom to the assembly line first displaced tasks, then created space for higherâorder work.
Today, AI can handle the routine patterns that eat up 40âŻ% of an employeeâs day, according to a recent productivity study. When those minutes are reclaimed, people can focus on design, strategy and problemâsolving activities that machines struggle to replicate. More meaningful work for humans.
So the real question isnât âWill AI replace us?â but âWhich parts of our work will become more creative because AI took the grunt work?â
if you're learning software development, do not spend your time learning a language. you'll be wasting your time - and your potential.
you need to focus on system architecture. learn how code work, how technologies stack. how you can take an idea, whatever it is, and make it a reality using different technologies efficienctly.
your goal is to be able to steer agents, not to know how to write the same code than ai will write for you. and once you have the logic of code, independantly of the language, you understand all languages - and if someone seems weird, you can still ask an ai to explain it to you.
"software development" will be renamed "software architect" but you can pivot now already.
