Randal Quran Reid was arrested and charged with a crime from a state he had not even been to. It took days for him to even find out he was accused of using stolen credit cards to buy designer purses in Louisiana.
Randal had been the victim of an incorrect match from an AI facial recognition software, but that wasn't the only failure other steps are supposed to take place before a judge issues a warrant, If they were even used they failed.
Randal set in jail for a week before being released, and it's still unclear why he was even targeted in the first place. Law enforcement won't even say when or how he was targeted, what caused him to be pulled over, or when the match happened.
