My in-laws found out their youngest daughter had Down syndrome on the day she was born.

It had been missed in the ultrasounds.

And if they had known before she was born...

It would have changed nothing.

Lisa had my name in last year’s gift exchange.

I have rarely felt so honored in my life.

Yes, children with Down syndrome may need a little more love and attention.

But they are also a fountain of love and attention to everyone around them.
