One thing I’ve noticed about highly successful people is that they always do what they say they’ll do.

If they tell you, “I’m going to send you a list of the 20 best restaurants in NYC tomorrow,” they do.

When you text them, unless they’re in a meeting, they’re responsive. This is why they always say to give projects to a busy person. They get things done.

They don’t flake. They’re true to their word.

I’ve noticed that this generation laments the loss of house parties and social events, yet people flake five minutes beforehand because they’d rather Netflix and chill or whatever.

We live in a generation of flakes.

I was recently with an esthetician who modeled in the early ’90s. She was older, but still gorgeous. She told me that when her agent said where to meet, she got on a train and showed up because you couldn’t just text and cancel.

People were true to their word. And the people who still live that way today tend to be the most successful. It’s never been easier to stand out.

UPDATE on Piper the cat stolen by the Amazon driver:

Sadly, no sightings of her.

And now @amazon is lying!!! They are telling people they are “working directly” with the owner, @DHM_137 and they are not!!! They won’t tell her the driver’s route or put up flyers in the area! They haven’t even been in touch since before Christmas!!! It’s a big area. How do you look for a cat if you don’t know where to look?

The detective in the case has said they will file charges against the driver. But at the same time they are waiting for the DA to approve the case. So which is it?

As I write this I’m sitting here with my cat on my lap. I can’t imagine if someone had catnapped him. This story breaks my heart. Pets are a part of our family! The owner got this cat right after the children’s father died. They all love Piper.

Come on Amazon. Tell her and us WHERE TO LOOK!!

And come on district attorney!! Let’s get JUSTICE FOR PIPER.
