Anyone who rejects the Nicene Creed, or rejects what the Creed originally meant, has rejected the Christian faith.

Yet the principle of Sola Scriptura has resulted in countless people rejecting and redefining the very Creed that identifies orthodox Christianity.

Within Protestantism you will find those who reject that Christ is consubstantial with the Father, deny the Holy Spirit as a distinct divine Person, reject one Baptism for the forgiveness of sins, and redefine “one, holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church” into something invisible and abstract. All while claiming to faithfully and correctly follow the Bible.

At some point, you have to ask:

If “Scripture alone” can lead Christians to reject Nicaea, what exactly is protecting Christianity from being reinvented by every individual interpreter?
