Being British is being mildly disgruntled/gently flabbergasted at something someone’s just said to you, so taking the main word of what they’ve said and telling them you’ll do that word to them in a minute.
Example:
“I’m sorry I’m late, I was busy eating some apple crumble”
“I’ll crumble you in a minute”

We’re on an 8 hour road trip bringing my wee mother in law from Aberdeen down to Sheffield to spend Christmas with us. Popped on @JohnBarrowman so we can all have a sing along as she’ll know most of the songs
@CraigyFerg Well I can tell you that some of them (well at least 2) are in the field across from my mother in law’s house in Aberdeen. I’ve heard them. To be fair, I’ve not seen them, but I have heard them.
@OwainWynEvans Prior to me marrying my hubby, my MIL asked if her outfit was appropriate for the wedding as “she didn’t want to look like mutton dressed as a duck” 😂😂
I hate sharing this, but if you can help I'd be so grateful. Elsie is at the vets, but it's slowly getting more positive. #MiniatureSchnauzer https://t.co/8jpb0rbAZ5
