My Kickstarter campaign for The Weyrdragon and the Fire Agate Necklace funded on the first day! But you can still get your paperback or hardcover copy; the campaign is still going for 19 more days! Check it out https://t.co/RmsMoKwIEn
Brooklyn Public Library has launched the Books UnBanned initiative which allows anyone across the country between the ages of 13 and 21 to get a free eCard from BPL to use to access 350,000 ebooks and 200,000 audiobooks, and multiple databases.

I’m doing a Kickstarter to make my latest book in print. It launches next Wednesday, and you can follow the project on Kickstarter at the preview page: https://t.co/RmsMoKwIEn
Came home yesterday to find that my husband got me a nice microphone for recording my books as audiobooks. 🥰 I’m thinking of recording a chapter a week and releasing as podcast episodes, then making audiobooks.
@sigridellis Awesome! I was in AmeriCorps in a Mpls school in 2009, my first job (technically a year of service not a job but anyway) out of college. Glad to see this!
I just became the first U.S. Secretary of Education to call on President Biden to unilaterally cancel student loan debt. Can I count on you to retweet and help me hit 35k followers so we can spread the word?
Two weeks ago I showed my kids the 90s Jumanji movie and it was great nostalgia for me. My younger one watches it every day now, and the more I watch it the more I appreciate its structure and the multiple plot threads and how neatly it’s all tied up at the end.
@sigridellis My husband and I are triple vaxxed, and no Covid! Kids are double vaxxed since they couldn’t get theirs until the under-12 vax was approved. No Covid for them either, thank goodness! Their schools are removing mask reqs this week tho and I’m 😬
@kultofkylie @karenkho At my work I have a 15 min walk to the parking lot I can afford (college campus) so going to and from appointments takes way longer than when I’m at home and feels like such a hassle even though my work is flexible.
We don’t need any more commentators agonizing over why people are still (!!) wearing masks.
It’s to avoid getting sick.
Even if I’m 99.9% sure I’ll survive (not everyone is!), maybe I don’t wanna get sick? Or make others sick?
Not wanting to get sick is actually very normal!
@OrnaRoss @thecreativepenn I’ll probably be the same 😅 But having been a preschool teacher, I think I have a decent amount of practice reading aloud, so I think I’m going to at least try it!
Listening to @thecreativepenn’s Audio for Authors book and appreciating the advice to get over hating the sound of my own voice. Have been wanting to record my books myself but that’s my biggest roadblock!
I am very frustrated with my inability to cleanly tear along the perforations of these puzzle-shaped rhyming cards that came with my kid’s book set. (Description: two cards shaped like puzzle pieces, “fr” on one and “og” on the other. The puzzle parts are torn and messy.)
Did you know that you can request my ebooks from your local library? If your library uses Overdrive or Hoopla for ebook distribution, you can request for them to add my books to their catalog for you to check out, and I get paid! Great way to support indie authors.
Me: I woke up early, I can get a little writing done before the kids wake up.
My kids: We heard you flush the toilet and we are wide awake and ready for your undivided attention!
