@UltingWick It’s so hard to see plants shrivelling up, especially if you spend months nurturing them from seed or cuttings or they’re those special plants that have been in your family for ages.

[Nikki Hounsell @NikkiNhou]

@StevenFalk1 It was absolutely fascinating to watch and yes just like the Hummingbird. Always make me think of the Ugly Duckling because they are such ugly caterpillars !

[Nikki Hounsell @NikkiNhou]

@StevenFalk1 I was very pleased to see this beautiful moth in the garden this week

[Nikki Hounsell @NikkiNhou]

@StevenFalk1 @NaturalEngland @TonyJuniper @DaveGoulson @SomersetPollin1 @bwars2000 @pickeletto @BumblebeeTrust @PoMScheme Wow, I’m surprised they can take off again .

[Nikki Hounsell @NikkiNhou]

@StevenFalk1 my Parottia tree is being invaded and eaten to bits

[Nikki Hounsell @NikkiNhou]

@StevenFalk1 what is eating the hollyhocks?

[Nikki Hounsell @NikkiNhou]

@BBCNews so why didn’t your presenter interview the girls as well as the boys at the school in Hull and ask for their views on the England match ??

[Nikki Hounsell @NikkiNhou]

@StevenFalk1 I love your garden. How about planting some Innula? Hookeri is a shortish one or there is the tall one I think called Magnifica? I bought some Self heal (prunella vulgaris) this week in the nursery because there were almost more bees than flowers on it!

[Nikki Hounsell @NikkiNhou]

@kathrynstockett It’s wonderful , I’m sad that I’ve finished reading it !

[Nikki Hounsell @NikkiNhou]

@StevenFalk1 Oh my goodness, it’s a jungle out there !

[Nikki Hounsell @NikkiNhou]

@StevenFalk1 what on earth is going on in the geraniums? It doesn’t look friendly, and I was alerted by the buzzing 😳

[Nikki Hounsell @NikkiNhou]

@StevenFalk1 Thanks, I love bees There are so many different ones in our garden. I grow as many pollinator friendly plants as I can. Funny yesterday to see hoverflies regularly landing on a yellow toy dinosaur my grandson had dropped on the path. Must have thought it was a flower

[Nikki Hounsell @NikkiNhou]

@StevenFalk1 Stachys has to be the Bumble’s favourite plant. I counted 27 of them on this clump of it.

[Nikki Hounsell @NikkiNhou]

@StevenFalk1 Ooh I’ll check next time the sun shines ! I did see this little chap

[Nikki Hounsell @NikkiNhou]

@bertsbooks The Calamity Club. Kathryn Stockwell. It’s great

[Nikki Hounsell @NikkiNhou]

@BBCBreakfast surely someone out there could offer Tom an interview. Such an articulate and confident young man.

[Nikki Hounsell @NikkiNhou]

@StevenFalk1 Thank you -I must do better ! It has very noble colouring

[Nikki Hounsell @NikkiNhou]

@StevenFalk1 the flower bed is full of these today. Beautiful iridescent green. Sawfly?

[Nikki Hounsell @NikkiNhou]

@StevenFalk1 I will be very careful then !

[Nikki Hounsell @NikkiNhou]

@the_beeguy They like drinking from damp compost too
