@soodoki34261@IanStockport@SecretPhysician Not sure what your profession is but with an attitude like that wouldn’t want you anyway near me.Don’t know much about PAs but do know how well qualified ACPs are. Happy to have someone who works as part of a team and respects nurses who want to skill up which clearly you don’t.
@IanStockport@SecretPhysician Very often a degree in nursing followed by several years experience in their field during which time they would have continued training before applying for an ACP course. Was seen by one recently and no concerns with her advice or treatment.
@DrEmmaNash Having sutures removed post op by the orthopaedic dept. Wound wasn’t fully closed. Nurse put steri strips on and advised I seek a GP appt to remove the remaining sutures. 2 days later had an infection and another hospital treating me stated ‘ you were fobbed off to the poor GP’
@littlemisslee23@jk_rowling Too right and I have breasts, a vagina and went through a time when I bled each month! But actually I know I shouldn’t be saying that!!
@DrEilidhMaria By a life/health coach with a ‘nursing background’who obviously quit herself!!!Nurses are leaving because of the way they are treated especially in MH where it is considered that other proffessionals can step right into their tokes without training
@Janeajnet@clare_angela_ Nurse Consultant I’d expect and mist nurses looking lookingvafter their PIN will explain this clearly. Nurses work enormously hard to earn this title. Unfortunately title is also abused by certain Trusts appointing people into ‘Consultant’ posts with very limited training.
@jat2210@Pseudomonal Prescribing nurses ( NMPs) can prescribe anything from the BNF as long within their scope of practice. So, within mental health I don’t prescribe anti psychotics as not my field. Though many nurses can. Like most prescribers you only prescribe drugs you understand.
@jat2210 How is that allowed? I had actually thought ( nabe hoped) hospitals were no longer using that pathway. I thought if death didn’t occur after a few days, the pathway was stopped.
Our incredible daughter Liz died in the early hours of this morning. She remained determined to the last. Even yesterday she was still making plans. We are so very proud of the kindness, empathy and courage she has shown in the last year. She was not only a phenomenal photographer, she was the best human, and the most wonderful daughter and big sister we could ever have asked for. No one could have fought harder for life than she did. There is a gaping Liz shaped hole in our lives that I am not sure how we will ever fill. We have so much gratitude to every single one of you, whether you offered to help, or liked or shared posts - you ensured Liz’s last two months were her very best. She flew high until the end.
We have two last favours to ask. Firstly, we would like to ask you to share one of her photos - on your social media, or in real life, however you can. Let’s let her go out with a bang. #LizHatton (photos will follow in a thread but do also feel free to choose your own from @lizhatton_photography on Instagram)
Secondly, if you can we would like you to help us with a mission to raise money to fund research into Desmoplastic Small Round Cell Tumour. With no charity in the UK or internationally funding into effective treatments are lacking. In 2024 a 15% 5 year survival rate is simply not enough. Together we can change that. Whether you can share, donate or raise funds - please be our village one more time. Let’s make this the last item on her bucket list and make sure other families don’t face a similar fate: https://t.co/iSsJO83LLs
'How the UK's highest court is about to decide what a "woman" is.'
Whatever the outcome of the case, it won't change what a woman is. What the court's really deciding is whether or not to remove rights from women and girls.

“It starts with men.” Is this your idea of humour? You’ve just announced a policy that will allow individuals who started as men to strip search females.
