i haven’t been here or FB in a long time. it’s helped my head a ton. investing in smaller, nicer, tighter-knit communities has been a saving grace.
you might see me on IG now and then, and my Tw/FB accounts still exist. otherwise meet me on MLTSHP, the best place on the web 💜
i’m working on new recordings, my first in a long time, but i wanted to proffer the 15+ years of material i’ve made as a proof-of-concept. anything you chip in helps me buy new mics, parts, & gear.
thanks for your support!

hi, i just wanted to pop out of hiding and tell you that 5 new WINDMILLS songs are being released today.
while everything in the world seems to be on hold, it felt right to release some of the material we worked on in 2016. i hope you like it.

"there have always been disposable creatures. they do the dirty work. they do the work that no one else wants to do... you don't have to think about their welfare; you don't think about how they feel. whole generations of disposable people."

@garsneezy i complained about it constantly back then, but the second i left it, i missed how much it enriched my life. shouldn't've sold out 🤑🤑🤑
one of these days, i want to get back to it.
@garsneezy perfectly said. i think it's easy for public servants to forget both the "public" and "servant" part, instead becoming a gatekeeper/policykeeper. i fell into that when i was at the library, being "rule-enforcer" instead of "helper", and it took me a long time to fix that attitude
@garsneezy and i agree, better screening for unstable personality types, psych services, etc, should be a big must for cops. i think the existing "sensitivity training" hasn't worked because we're often allowing the wrong kind of person (and macho culture) to police our neighborhoods.
@garsneezy ah, i don't want this to come around as a "cut government funds" post - i think my roundabout way of looking at it is if we took away funds for military-hardware'd police and had a robustly-funded set of social services, we'd need police much less.
