For context: I am a dev myself and really enjoy using Omarchy so far (it's my second day) so I would not mind having a bug here and there.

OX Alpha is hosted in America!! 🇺🇸

I sent 49 identical one-token requests from 7 Cloudflare regions, rotated the order to control for load and matched every response to OpenRouter’s per-generation server timing.

This isolated the geographic network floor:
ATL: 57 ms
DFW: 76 ms
Europe: 125–132 ms
Asia: 202–340 ms
Australia: 279 ms

A robust 6-of-7 fit converged at 43°N, 73°W, with the plausible band covering the US East Coast into southeastern Canada.

Best interpretation: OX Alpha’s serving path is anchored in eastern North America, most likely US East.

The only potential remaining caveat: this could be @OpenRouter backend handoff rather than the physical GPU rack.

Just started testing @shotbaseapp . A few things I noticed:
- There seems to be no way to change the color of shape
- Being able to change the size of the hovering item(s) after a screenshot / recording because its too large for me

I just learned that my Codex Micro does not work with Linux. The feature gate is disabled there. Is there any way to make it happen? @thsottiaux

Today is my first time switching to Linux. I am very curious and will hopefully use it daily as my dev machine. @dhh

For now it will be a dual boot setup with Windows for quick switching if needed and my MacBook for mobile and especially iOS development.

I tested three unrelated OpenRouter models. They didn’t reproduce OX Alpha’s US-East curve: Cohere and GPT-OSS were nearly flat globally, while AtlasCloud showed a different pattern. So this isn’t a universal OpenRouter backend signature; OX’s route appears provider-specific.

@XuzhenJ Could be but I would assume OpenRouter is distributed and AI inference of a stealth model not.

@bjorstar @pingToven OpenRouter does not host models. It only routes to its providers. No model is running on its servers. Only if this is their model release

As analyzed by OpenAI’s Daybreak Blue, Ox Alpha stealth model is almost certainly from https://t.co/Re9NS3hQ5R and likely GLM-5.3-based. Evidence: a 12/12 GLM tokenizer match, Z.ai-specific API errors, and GLM-5.3’s mandatory low/high/max reasoning modes. Probably a multimodal preview.
