Did you know our game Freedom has a solo mode expansion?
This epic "tower defence" style game depicts the Ottoman siege of the Greek Holy City of Messolonghi in the 1830's.
This expansion allows you to play as the attacking Ottomans against a "bot" as the defenders.

Designer Yeves Rettel, explaining the inspiration behind his game Red Strike:
"Why RED STRIKE? The idea, or maybe more correctly the wish, of a game about a hypothetical 3rd World Warin Central Europe dates to my first plays of “Aegean Strike” in the early nineties. Rare are the games that made it so often to my table than this one. I was stricken by Mark Herman's complex system that was brilliantly turning the back to the IGOUGO dogma and IMHO simulating modern combat in an unprecedented way.
I was sure the system would lend itself perfectly for air, sea, and land combat in Central Europe. That said I was waiting patiently for a game marrying the Cold War gone hot with the Strike system. After long years of waiting, I started to design the game on my own and for my own personal use.
That was in 2003 when the first map and counter designs were drawn on my personal computer. Since then, things changed, and you hold in your hands the project of a lifetime. During research I read books, used online sources, watched documentaries, and played war-games, always with a notebook at hand. The most useful sources are listed in the playbook.
Some facts to describe the scope of the undertaking: for research I was screening eBay and attending air-shows across Europe to buy out-of-print books or wargames on the subject, I had to find willing people to translate Czech, Polish and Russian websites (google translator did help too), I spent literally hundreds of hours to write an accurate OOB of NATO and Warsaw Pact forces in 1989 (date of the outbreak of hostilities in RS).
Over time other games influenced RS and the latest version you hold in your hands has become a system on its own, built upon the Strike games but you probably are going to recognize features of the “Flashpoint: Golan, VG”, the “3rdWW series” from VG, “The NextWar, SPI”, “NATO The Next War in Europe, VG”, the “Next War series” from GMT, and others."

Played 3 games of The Hunt for Blackbeard last night, a superb game of historical cat & mouse - each (40 min) session sparkles with theft, kidnap, interrogation and rumour. @fortcircle & Volko have created a cracker. ☠️

Playing a full 6-player session of Imperial Elegy is a peak gaming experience.
Players lead Britain, France, Russia, Austria, Germany and the Ottoman Empire - with asymmetric goals and strengths - in an epic global confrontation from 1850 to 1920.
World War One might happen - perhaps with totally different alliances. Or it might not.
Alliances will shift. Technology and industry will advance. Colonies will be taken and the world will start to feel smaller as the great powers expand.
Secret goals may determine victory - or perhaps there will be a "war to end all wars" where players win or lose as a team.
This game is a big investment. But it is totally worth it.
