Here's a handy helper to understand how libs compare gun stats between the US and countries with gun control like they love.

-Every shooting with more than one person injured in America, even if it's something nobody sane or honest would ever describe as a "mass shooting" gets lumped together as a mass shooting, from domestic violence murder/suicides, accidents, or drug/gang related (which is the vast majority) those are all "mass shootings".

-Other countries, if a bunch of people get shot in a criminal dispute or act of terrorism that totally doesn't count as a "mass shooting".

-Also, only look at shootings. Other country's bombings, arsons, poisonings, or driving a truck down the sidewalk don't count. So even though those countries often have higher rates of mass killings per capita, only the ones using guns are bad.

-Never ever use the same criteria to compare two countries fairly. The USA always use whatever gets you the craziest big number, and the foreign countries always use whatever gets the smallest number.

-Make sure to always count suicides as America's "gun violence". Because the (often higher) suicide rates in other countries doesn't count. Hanging, overdosing, knives, jumpers, stepping into traffic, or MAID (WTF Canada?) whatever is the cultural norm in those nations is okay and those are purer forms of dying, because only guns are icky scary bad.

-After taking out the massive chunk that is suicides, pretend that the remaining difference between the boring mostly homogenous oatmeal countries and diverse America has nothing to do with the fact those countries have nothing at all equivalent to the demographic that disproportionally is the source of those crimes.

-Oh wait... after all these years of talking shit about America, those countries have just now recently got themselves a small demographic who is committing a disproportionate amount of crime... America has been dealing with these issues for generations. Let's see how these smug liberal countries have been dealing with it for a whole couple of years... oh shit... Wow. Not looking so smug there now, are you pricks? Harder than it looks, huh?

-Don't ever try to do an apples to apples comparison. Say you've got an oatmeal country that's really socially homogenous by American standards, with like 28 million people. Don't you dare ever take a few US states with a similar population and demographic makeup and compare those two. Nope. All comparisons with America have to include that handful of blue city zip codes that have crime rates 20 to 70 times higher than the rest of the country.

-So ignore their most violent parts, call that terrorism. Focus on America's most violent parts, pretend that's normal everywhere, and label them all school shootings.

-Also, only gun crime is bad. If your wonderful Euro Weenie oatmeal country has a sexual assault, rape, or violent crime rate that is way higher than America's don't mention on that. Only gun crimes count.

-Oh yeah, since Americans can legally shoot bad guys in self-defense, lump those in with the criminal shootings too, because all shootings are equal. Same with the police shooting people in the line of duty. The more than number gets confused the better.

-When all else fails, just lie your ass off. It doesn't matter how many times a stat has been debunked, or how obviously garbage the data was to begin with, just repeat it forever. Guns in the home are fifty times more likely to be used against the owner than a criminal! You know that stat's debunked nonsense, right? LA LA LA I CANT HEAR YOU.
