امسال چهل و هفتمین سال درگذشت شاهنشاه ایران در مصر است، و در تمامی این سا�� ها حضور پر شکوه و چشمگیر شما نشانه بارزی از ارج نهادن به خاطره آن پادشاه بزرگ و خاندان پهلوی است.

جمهوری مصر و روسای جمهور آن از همان ابتدا، تا به امروز، همیشه و با ابراز محبتی برادرانه نسبت به خان��اده پهلوی، در کنار ما بوده اند، و من برای همیشه از این همه لطف و دوستی بی شائبه سپاسگزار و قدردان هستم.

امسال دولت مصر، به دلیل مسائل امنیتی و همینطور اوضاع آشفته و درهم منطقه ای، صلاح در آن دیده که این مراسم در سطح دیداری محدود و تنها برای خاندان پهلوی انجام پذیرد.

رعایت کامل چنین تصمیمی برای من، همه فامیل پهلوی، و همچنین همه ایرانیان راستین و میهن پرست بطور کامل لازم است، و توقع من از همه هم میهنانم احترام و ارج گذاری به این تصمیم ملت و دولت دوست و برادر ماست.

امسال، و در غیاب شما، من نه تنها از طرف خودم، بلکه به نمایندگی از سوی همه شما، به روان پاک شاهنشاه آر��امهر درود خواهم فرستاد.

A long time ago, I warned my fellow Iranian Americans on the left that if your ideology is stronger than your love for Iran, then shame on you. Today, as a Republican, I have to say the same thing about my own side. What President Trump has signed here is not strength; it is a staggering betrayal of the Iranian people and a lifeline to a criminal regime. It rewards the Islamic Republic while our people are being jailed, tortured, and executed, and it tells every dictator in the region that Washington will always find a way to look the other way. I’ve been thinking about how everyone is gaming out a “potential” Iran deal. President Trump calls it “largely negotiated” and Don Jr, (shamelessly) is already hyping it as an absolute win, but nowhere in their victory lap are the Iranian people themselves. If the U.S. Navy has Iran blockaded and Tehran has no real air force or navy left, why are we talking about showering this regime with concessions at all? When you hold all the cards and still feel the need to bribe a terror state to act human, it does not look like America is the side that is winning.
